Positive stories only - struggling mentally with bedbug treatment
A week or so ago, I noticed bites on my body all over, on my back, arms, legs, feet and hands. I went to multiple doctors and they all think it’s bedbugs but I have not seen a SINGLE trace of bedbugs in my house, bed, mattress seams, wall. We even had a pest control specialist come out and they didn’t see anything either (to be fair, they only looked in our mattresses and headboards). To be safe, however, our household is getting chemical treatment from an exterminator in two days, and then repeat treatment in 10-14 days after that (combinations of cimexa, tandem and temprid). Unfortunately, I have to be out on a work trip for a few days after the first treatment but will be back by the second spray (am also nervous that this will mean that the treatment won’t be as effective because I’m not home, but my roommates will still be home for the whole treatment cycle). Yesterday I had two bites on my finger, but then yesterday evening I got one on my foot which is making my concerned for scabies as well. I am going absolutely crazy and have scheduled a derm appt to get a biopsy of one of my bites, but if it does end up being bedbug bites, please share success stories about how treatment worked for you all. Never been this mentally down and am really struggling, I feel like the bites are never going to stop and feel like I can’t breathe every time I look at my hands and body bitten up.

Are these bed bug stains?
The big middle one is hard and dry, it moves if I shake the sheet. I got a bite on my right thumb overnight I’m guessing (it showed up in the morning) but this was on the left side of my bed. Am I overthinking this?

Bed bugs or contact derm or something else entirely (carpet beetles?)
Out of nowhere, I started getting bites like this three days ago or so. Increasing daily (a few per day) and they are on my arms, legs, lower back - just spread out >1 inch from one another. I have white sheets and have not seen anything resembling bed bugs or any critter (other than some carpet beetles near my window) and have not travelled anywhere that had a bed bug infestation. I also checked my headboard, bed frame, and mattress, mattress cover, seams, everything and absolutely no signs of any bed bug babies or eggs or casings or bugs themselves. Could it be contact dermatitis from something irritating my skin or sweat (I get very itchy from sweat)? I had multiple people scour my room for bed bites and all saw nothing.

What could this be?
