Start a movement to buff chain.

Chain is useless, buff it for more skill expression + melee weaving combos(melee between chain and cross is faster than throw and cross, giving you more dmg and more fury faster). No one talks about this and everyone should. Everyone else gets what they want when they complain, why shouldn't we?

What is the consensus here on her strength?

I play most dive dps including BC and can most definitely say she is the strongest one. In my eyes she is the current "broken" dive that will be nerfs within the coming months like the rest. In my eyes, no character should be gutted to the ground because there is always a player base behind them that enjoys playing them who shouldn't be forced to wait 4 seasons before they are playable again. So, it shouldn't happen to her.

However, the comments and posts in this sub never seem to even acknowledge that she's strong, seemingly only ever implying that whatever she does that's perceived as strong can be easily played around.

So do you guys really think she shouldn't be nerfed or tuned at all?

I want to use Psylocke's blade in ult.

Her ult is like a more boring and easier to use version of Spider-man's, and you don't even get to use the sword itself. You're also limited to mostly two or three kills if you're lucky because of how the damage is spread. Why not just make it like Dragonblade like Genji in Overwatch, while allowing the sword to slowly give her dash cooldowns back per swing hit? Ik it would be similar to Genji, but who cares? They already took so much from OW. Not that OW hasn't done the same with other games. It would be way more skillful, engaging, fun, higher kill potential, and you could use the dashes mid ult too.

Genji is the closest you can feel to Sisyphus.

It is a rule that 90% of matches have two direct Genji counters on the enemy team. It is also a rule that they counterswap you even if you are the worst in the lobby. There are so many characters that counter you in every way that it is not even worth banning specific ones. You just accept them gladly. To play Genji is to handicap yourself and fight this adversity, climbing and climbing against the odds while the world punches down on you, hating you; but you keep going, for the love of Genji. It is the closest to Sisyphus a human can feel.

You know it's bad when Spider-Man is the best diver.

When Daredevil was released, the balancing team made the horrible decision to buff up supports to his level instead of nerfing Daredevil, while leaving the other dives behind. Since then, Daredevil has received around 12 nerfs to different aspects of his kit, while supports and namor get repeatedly micro-buffed.

What about Black Cat though? Yeah, BC was OP as all hell but she just got nuked after a season, and is now worse than BP; you know they would never nuke any other type of character like that, just dive and dps in general.

Instead they just keep buffing already strong supports and anti-dive. Luna should not get free headshots off her easy snowball while doing that much damage. She can literally pre-fire, snowball, fire, line up a headshot, fire. White Fox is overtuned and literally has no downsides to being anti-dive, she just gets the utility and healing of a main healer as well, but White Fox players decide to shoot the floor instead of getting direct hits. Cloak and Dagger needs a bubble nerf. They can literally just cycle their cooldowns and should never die if they have a brain. Invis is STILL too hard to kill. Instead of nerfs, 90% of the time these guys get BUFFED. All while their baseline HP is now 275, so all the breakpoints for 250 HP healers are just gone, because why would anyone play Jeff, or Adam, or Ultron(undeserved nerfs btw)? All you see is some variation of the healers stated above those, every game.

Unless it's against maybe DD, and pre-nuke BC, any amount of effort that an OP support puts into a 1v1 as a dive puts into a 1v1 should almost always result in the support winning, but they don't know how to do that, so they just cry for peels. It's easy to see this is the truth when you're a dive main and hop on healer for a bit, trust me. Every dive main knows how easy it is when they play support and get dove.

Where are we now? After the supports have been buffed to invincibility, the dives have been largely untouched. To restate, they tried to bring up the supports to DD's level, then brought DD down while leaving the supports up, giving them only buffs and even more options. On the other end of the spectrum, any "buff" to the dives has been almost entirely useless, they literally get like 5-10 damage buffs and the devs call it a day. Iron Fist is useless. BP is useless. BC is now useless. Psylocke is just bad. DD just feels worse to play. And now, Spider-Man is legitimately more versatile and better than even DD in almost every match up.

By the way, I'm not saying DD himself is bad, or even mid, but this is what happens when you focus on buffs for every character rather than also nerfing characters. You leave most characters behind as they get power crept to oblivion.
