How do I make my pen a bit drier?

How do I make my pen a bit drier?

I think the text in the image is self explanatory.

I wish to reduce the flow of my wetter Wancai. Is it possible though? I don't wish to use drier inks by the way.

Please suggest possible solutions.

PS: This is also a writing sample for BWI Midnight Fuel.

NPD and NID

NPD:

Got myself 2 Moonman Wancais. These will be my EDC for college. Both have Fine nibs. Despite filling the pen to less than half capacity, I haven't suffered from any burping. I accidentally dropped my pen from a table and a bit of ink did spill on the cap, 2 small drops to be precise. Fortunately, I haven't suffered from any leaking issues either. EDIT: I have also left the pen unused for a day, yet, the nib hasn't dried out. Thus, I believe the cap seals well too? PS: These Wancais are so damn cute!

NID:

Got myself a beautiful bottle of Midnight Fuel from Bengal Writing Instruments (BWI). This is the second batch of their 80ml bottles. Waiting time was very long unfortunately, but well worth it I can assure you. The bottle has a screw cap. The bottle's capacity is 100ml, but they fill it till 80ml only. So, if you do notice a little less than full bottle, now you know why.

This is a very well behaved ink. Fairly wet, not too much, not at all dry. Very easy to clean. I hope it doesn't stain my demonstrator, but I'll have to see. I'll upload the writing sample in some time.

PS: The colour is so damn unique! Blue-Green-Black! Absolutely loving it. I just hope they make a 1L option soon.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Several of my shoes are seaprating weirdly from the sole. Need help!

Hello sub,

I have noticed recently, that several of my shoes (particularly the right one) are separating from the sole, as is visible in both the photographs. Please suggest ways to fix it and perhaps some care tips?

PS: I have a habit of opening my right shoe by pulling it off from the ankle using the left toes. Is that habit to be blamed?

Has anyone tried the new OSRTC Volvo service from Bhubaneswar to Ujjain?

Hello sub,

I'm planning to go from Bhubaneswar to Ujjain in the new OSRTC service. So, if anyone has past experiences, please share them with me.

I'm particularly anxious about the no-rest-stop issue.

Thanks!

Need tips for EDC

Hello sub,

I'm planning to move to fountain pens completely after using refillable gel pens for over a decade (since 2014). I always had 2 backup refills (blue and black, one each) for the peace of mind. But now, that I'll be using fountain pens for most of my writing, how do I keep a backup? How do you manage unexpected events of running out of ink?

All tips and suggestions are welcome.

Thank you... :)

Adding Dettol Handwash made the Dry Sulekha Ma ink work!

Hello sub,

This is a follow up post to my last post. The results and my review can be seen in the image.

Special gratitude and shoutout to u/tippytuliptoes for the brilliant idea!

PS: For highlighting in orange ink, I've used my trusted Uniball Eye Fine.

Hello sub,

I've been using Sulekha "Ma" ink for some time using 2 different pens, my Parker Vector and Click Orion (M). If you've seen my previous posts, then you'd know how terribly menaced I am. Now, in the past 2 days, I had to twist the converter piston (in the Click Orion) and equivalent in the Vector. Otherwise the writing keeps getting from dark to lighter and bold to thinner.

Can you please suggest some way around it?

PS: I've already cleaned both my pens by dipping the nib units in water with dishwashing soap.

Hello sub,

Please help me land internships.

I'm a 2nd year student pursuing a degree in urban planning. I'm a part of the finance society of our college. I have a keen interest in Real Estate and I have some basic skills in Financial Modelling. I have udemy certifications for the same.

I'm based in Bhopal, but remote internships will do as well.

Hello sub,

I'm a sophomore looking for internships as a financial analyst. I came across a company on LinkedIn named Acrotinel. I'm not sure whether or not it's legit though. Can anyone throw some light please?

The pen wasn't working at all despite having ink. Might be an ink issue or a pen issue. But then it did, a bit unpredictably. Very dark at times and very light and scratchy otherwise. Images in comments because I couldn't attach here for some reason.

Need guidance. What do I do?

If you compare 1st page with the 2nd, you'll notice a dramatic drop in the darkness of the colour. And even the ink flow was very very heavy. I felt as if the ink was pouring out of a bottle!

My parker has a F nib, yet it's behaving much more wildly than my Click Orion (M).

Is it normal after refilling ink?

PS: I might have filled it wrong though! I dipped the nib into ink and pulled the piston of the converter. Is that a wrong way to fill ink?
