Tried to recreate St. Anger snare sound. How’d I do?
I used SSD-5 Free and GarageBand. Tried mixing it to the album by memory. It kinda sounds like Lamb of God too. Any recommendations on how to get it closer?

Do you think they’ll go in chronological order with Garage Inc or go through studio albums first with St Anger?
Just got my Evans patch. It’s the black nylon one. Before I start using it, I’d like to know whether the plastic side of felt side of my beater will be better for it.
I’m currently looking for a patch for my Simmons KP20 kick pad. I’ve was going to go with evans double bass patch, but I don’t whether the Clear plastic or black nylon. Does it make a difference? Will one work better than the other? Just to add, I have Tama beaters with both a plastic and felt side.
-Edit, to clarify. It’s a mesh head and using plastic side of the beater.
These are my five favorite albums covers from the 80s. I’d love to see what everyone else’s favorites are.
Might do 90s at a later date.
I’ve got this Simmons kick drum and this DANMAR double metal kick I’ve been holding on to. I don’t have an acoustic kit at the moment. And I was wondering if it’d be a bad idea to put this on my kick, because I don’t want to just waste it. At the moment I’ve just been covering it with a towel so it won’t get damaged, and have debated adding this DANMAR piece to it.
