Not expected, still going strong.
She left after going on a couple of dates, but months of talking and sexting. We gave each other cute nicknames. I respected her boundaries more than anything and then she left, saying she does not feel the romantic connection.
I am broken to the core. After my laat heartbreak, it was... hard to connect and feel safe again. She was my safe haven an now she only wants to be friends. And if I want to talk to her like a friend, she does not look at my messages. I kbow she needs her time to mourn as well. She is amazing. I just hate the pain. We will survive this
I smoked after 6 days
My date said she does not see it romantically. Life has been extra stressful lately and then this. I bought a pack, smoked a cig.
Surprise, it did not help and now I have a headache
I go hard (to hard I guess)

It is often hard to talk about these things with friends, so I just vent here.
I recently started dating again after a painful heartbreak exactly 2 years ago. Don't worry, no long text, just a summary.
Colleagues told me I had to push the brake more. I invest a lot of energy in my job. The feedback came as a surprise, because I often get told that if I can not handle the emotional pressure, I should quit.
This reflects itself in my current dating situation. She enjoys our time, but is not ready for the next step, while I feel ready for a long time. I felt that she was becoming ready as well, but she wants to go slower. And I accept it and won't put pressure on her. I do not want this to be about me, yet it hurts, because I did not see it coming.
So right now, my head en heart are fighting. I want to see her perspective, while also seeing en feeling my own emotions.
I'm also considering to quit smoking, which also brings a lot of stress. The addiction is constantly fighting and it adds pressure on me.
I also feel the scar from the last heartbreak and right now, I just feel the fear of losing her and in the process, myself as well.
I do not have somebody to just vent about it...
