How would you interpret this dress code?

I am starting a new job soon and requested they send me their dress code since my last job provided company polos and I’ll probably need to buy some new clothes. It states “professional business attire”, the internet says business professional is basically always slacks and a blazer.

I went through 4 rounds of interviews and only during the last one with execs was anyone (except me) wearing so much as a blazer, mostly just nice blouses or a button up shirt. I’ve preemptively bought a few more blazers and a few long sleeve button ups, and I’m sure once I start and see what other people are wearing I’ll have a better idea, but just looking for other’s opinions

Switching microchip registration?

We adopted a cat last spring and the microchip she has was registered to 24PetWatch by the shelter. Earlier this year, I saw they got taken over by PetPlace, but I can’t remember if I signed in or not at the time. The email was open and my password autofill tried to log me in for the site, but they are saying my account doesn’t exist (despite regular promotional emails from PetPlace since then), and then when I try to create a new account it just says an error message “Claim not verified: [Email address]”.

We are moving and I need to update the info on the chip with our new address but it doesn’t seem like it’s registered there anymore and the company has terrible reviews anyway, is there a way to register the same chip with a different service? Would a vet be able to do it or would I do it myself? Or does she need a new chip?

Does it matter if the laser type changes mid-treatment?

This feels like a stupid question but I am going to ask it anyway. I’m 9 sessions into removing a large and very dark black tattoo at LaserAway. I am moving to a city that is 8+ hours away from any LaserAway location, and would rather not make that trip every 3-4 months for a 20 minute appointment. Will I encounter any issues if the new place I find uses different lasers than LaserAway has been using? I plan on asking them for a copy of my record so I can show a new tech everything that’s been done to it thus far and progress pics.

Uh.. can I put this in soil?

My Birkin was getting really top heavy and ugly so i chopped it and potted the top elsewhere. New shoots started growing off the old stem but that was even harder to support so i chopped part of that off again and stuck it in water and that is what you see here.

The piece of the original stem that was in the water put out this tiny leaf and I love him, how do I pot this up without losing that leaf? We are moving in a few weeks and I don’t think keeping it in water will work very well

What do I do if I have a job offer but am still interviewing for a different job I’d much rather have

I have been interviewing for two different jobs, one had two rounds (job 1) and the other 4 (job 2). I just did round 3 today for the job I’d prefer and all three have gone well so far. I also just missed a call from job 1. I do not even know if this is going to be an offer or not, but if it is how do I buy myself some time to get through the interviews with job 2? It’s Friday so the earliest I’d hear back from job 2 to schedule the 4th round would be Monday, and it could easily take through all of next week or more to know if I have an offer or not. There’s no way job 1 will allow me a week+ to think over an offer in this job market. Do I just accept it and rescind my acceptance later if job 2 makes me a better offer? A bird in the hand and all that

Has anyone ever gotten their whole deposit back from a rental company?

I keep googling various rental companies in town with listings I’m interested in and all of the 1 star reviews are people complaining they didn’t get their full deposit back because of bs cleaning charges. This is obviously scummy but having rented from various companies across several states it seems like just industry standard.

Does anyone with extensive rental history ever even expect their full deposit back? Has any local company defied the stereotype and given you your deposit back? Especially with a pet?

How is the instacart driver market?

What the title says. My partner’s job is relocating him to Missoula and I am discouraged by the job market I’m seeing. I did instacart full time several years ago in a medium sized city in Illinois and was able to make $200+ a day. Is anyone making that kind of money anymore? I recently opened the app for the first time in years and it looks totally different than when I was shopping in 2021. If I’m unable to find a job in my field by the time we have to move, is instacart a feasible contingency plan? Is it too over saturated with drivers?
