People talk about characters getting ruined with adaptations, but what about when you are raised on a good adaptation and find out he’s better than the source material?

Slade Wilson is apparently most well known for being a pedophile and an assassin. All of this was obviously censored for the 2003 Teen Titans adaptation. It seems weird to have a character where essentially every aspect of them is censored for kids, and it’s even weirder that he’s better for it.

He’s still creepy, but in a cool way. He isn’t “ew Terra is 12” it’s more like ”that monster played those poor teens so elegantly in well written manipulation.”

He doesn’t need weapons he’s just mysterious and terrifying. He isn’t even really an assassin in the show. He’s just a master combatant and manipulator. An assassin is a lackey, so his censored job title actively made him more powerful as he’s the behind the scenes manipulator.

I know lots of these traits are still in the Judas Contract but he is working with Brother Blood. In the show, one time he works for someone else, it’s a deal with the cosmic Devil. Because he’s dead. And he ends up helping beat the devil.

Slade Wilson works alone. Creepy gross, lame, underwhelming edgelord “death stroke” works for others and when he’s on his own he’s getting solo’d by Batman who seems to be more threatened by Ras El Ghoul anyways.

Hell even the name is better. “Slade” as a name creeped me out as a kid. It’s understated and sounds like a bad thing but is just a name.

”Deathstroke” sounds like what I would have tried to come up with to match a quarter of the aura. It’s trying too hard.

A creepy understated psychological menace who is a master manipulator is way more captivating than a douchey eye patch wearing assassin who is so bad at his job he has to sexually pray on teens in order to beat them.

Fuck Deathstroke, Slade is my goat.

This subreddit is still being run by people wanting others to do everything for them for free, so until that gets dealt with one thing people might be able to do to remedy it is use this place to offer their services:

What their skills are, portfolio, talent, and rates. It might be considered “advertising” but I feel like that would be better than what I can best describe as “begging” plus there is obviously demand for the work, so some people may see those posts, hire you, and not make a post begging people to work for free.

I think most are just naive to the industry standards and rates and will either just not make a post begging because they are intimidated or they will find what they need and hire you

My fashion sense has been growing a little more flamboyant but not to the point of crossdressing or anything challenging gender norms. However it is tough to find places with men’s clothing that has a lot of flare, personality, and interesting looks.

You get traditional fancy clothing, blank clothing, things referencing media and sports, and at best some plads. Does anyone know of a place more trailored to more interesting colors, pazazz, different shape language, etc?

Vanguard's website has been buggy since I started using it.

However one bug really getting in the way is that whenever I click on "buy or sell investments," it makes me sign contracts before progressing. I do, I finish it by pressing continue, and then it loops me back to the beginning. Anyone else dealing with this? Thanks.

So even though people always just dismiss every combo that ever gets banned in existence with "dies to removal" only for it to be banned a few months later, I want to learn from the past.

I think the real determining factors with good combos is not just an interactable meta game, but tempo loss and how easy it can slot into the metagame.

The Seeker of Skybreak and Hawkeye Combo is a two card, turn three infinite damage combo. But Seeker of Skybreak dies to everything and doesn't have haste, and Hawkeye's Bow does nothing on its own and is an artifact. So instead of making a deck around both of these delicate piece, I think the fact that these are both so weak pieces on their own implies we need to put the "oops I win" button in a pre-existing shell rather then try to force it.

If the combo pieces are ONLY good as a combo, then it should be resilient. So since neither of these pieces are, we need to put them in decks where they are ok on their own.

Looking at the Pauper Meta Game and what has red+green, I see a few decks.

First is the Jund Spy combo, a landless deck that is an all in combo. Emphasis on all in: Not a single card can work against the combo in this glass canon. Let's move on.

Next is Gruul Tron. It emphasizes big creatures, and even though a quick combo doesn't really work very well with it, the deck already has cheap artifact synergies so Hawkeye's Bow doesn't stand out, or at least it can. Ancient Stirrings doesn't fetch it, so you could add some artifact synergies of some kind but it might be too clunky.

Strangely, Seeker of Skybreak is actually pretty good in this deck. You can attack but break mirrors and give your monsters quasi vigilance to break mirrors. And honestly, I don't see this deck in the main. I think opponents would side out their removal against another tron deck in game two, so you can side this combo in and randomly kill them while also giving your creatures vigilance.

So I think it is a potential sideboard option, but even then more of a fun gimmick that would die quickly: I don't think it's a great fit for Gruul Tron.

But for the title post, Jund Wildfires, it's actually really good, especially with a few more adjustments.

The Jund Wildfires deck goes out of its way to make sure all of the sacrifice outlets don't require tapping, but that could change, as well as the weird cards that tap to give a creature haste which can enable Hawkeye's Bow if you just have Hawkeye's bow on its own. Though Hawkeye's Bow would mostly just be used to stave off Delvers on a stalled boardstate in the late game. But more importantly, Hawkeye's Bow is the part of the combo that will drag the tempo down since in a lot of decks it does nothing without skybreak, who can at least allow people to reactivate abilities or play catch up while still going on the offense. Think of how bad drawing Splinter Twin was without a critter to attach it to. But this deck needs plenty of fodder artifacts already. ANY one mana artifact is ok in a deck where you are sacrificing a bunch of artifacts anyways. Similar to how Saheeli Rai and Felidar Guardian had synergy with the energy deck because you could retrigger some of the energy adding ETBS without one half of the combo or the other. It might not be as good as some of the others as fodder in the Jund Wildfires deck, but the other fodder can't randomly two card kill someone either.

So that's why I think Jund Wildfires will be the best shell for this combo and it slots in pretty smoothly. And before anyone says "oh the two mana slot is already really competitive" dude it's half of an infinite combo, you can probably cut one of your TWELVE "sacrifice something draw two" cards.

I've been seeing this for years, but no matter how I try it, it either combines all the files into one video or it tells me you can't do that. Does anyone know how?

Specifically being able to scroll back and fourth with the music being unbroken in the background. I figured it would be a good way to get my art out there while having funny memes.
