Im gon be real honest with u guys, im gettin so fed up with our coach. I used to be the best picker with averaging 750 picks and 150 pick rate. But… they always have a say with everything I do and its getting annoying. They even said it themselves im getting the most picks and you can basically see me in leaderboard everyday in top 1-3.

They warned me to get my hours cut if i dont bag as u go but honestly that’s not possible when your big cart is blocking the way and there’s like 4-6 people in the aisle. Esp in chilled walk where the way is kinda small and there’s always like 6 people with carts blocking the way in vegetable section so i just hurry up and be done in that section. Idk if yall will get me esp those ppl who work in supercenters but our store is kinda small and those customers are getting annoyed when i take my time bagging 😭 this isnt the only reason, i got coached many times but my other coworkers did worse and never got coached for it. Ik ppl who take a break for 20-30mins and i got coached for taking 3mins late..

So now im trying my best to just average 500-600 picks per day and 110-120 pick rate. Im so done with this department honestly, if only they didnt match my schedule bc im currently in school and still can work full time.. im not doin them a favor anymore, ill only work at the very bare minimum. That’s why our department always lacking employees and leaving all of a sudden, they expect us to work like a robot and do everything right without thinking why this happened,, why that happened..

It’s the only thing that makes me want to go to work now idk lolll no nore motivations lol

Im so fed up with our store for being always understaffed, even if everyone is there you will always see our managers picking because our pickers is always not enough. Alot of people resigned and changed departments. Not even my 6th month in this job, half of my coworkers are new. Why can’t they solve the problem first why employees doesn’t want to stay in opd than making shit updates in gif? Im quitting soon too, i cant last a year in this dept. Unless they will raise our salaries which is not happening.

I know it’s js not our store struggling rn with online orders ever since the gif updates, coworkers quitting/changing depts, understaff, massive orders per hr that even other department and managers had to help picking. How are yall?

Tbh I wanna quit, I realized how underpaid we are for this kind of work. Ever since the update, i despise going to work because it gets so exhausting esp as a full time picker with 20k steps per day. Feels like im getting beaten up every single day because small runs means going back and forth 20x. Also with the pick path problem, i js cant endure it anymore. Abt to crash out earlier because of that paper plate that made me go back and forth the whole store 5x every pick round bc of the wrong location. Idk, i used to love this job bc its healthy for me esp that 15k steps average. Its js stressful now.

Hi! Im f 23 and I js moved here in states 4mos ago. Im working in walmart but i will not be staying for long bc i really plan to go study most likely lvn. Im thinking abt being a CNA or phlebotomy but honestly, what’s the best starting job related to nursing that will benefit me to become lvn? I already saved up some money to get a certificate for cna but im thinking if there’s a better job for me while saving up for lvn.

Im starting to think if i should resign, we’re too overworked for 17/hr, while fast foods at least get 20/hr. Btw, I live in cali and that’s our minimum wage. Im planning to js apply in any fast food chains coz at least it got higher wage. It was so stressful today, we’re not understaffed but we keep getting 1k+ picks per hr which is not supposed to happen coz we’re a neighborhood market and the pickers are normally 6-7 people only that was supposed to be enough but idk why they’re dropping us 1k+ picks non stop. We’re much overworked than these fast food workers, imagine being in a timer, walking all day and dealing with diff customers who’s not even saying thank u for helping them. Idek if my tl took his lunch, he was in the backroom all day dispensing, packing orders, and staging. The backroom is a whole mess because idk why we’re getting so much gmds since last week.

Anyone who did fast while working? Im planning to do a fasting for 10 days (not for dieting) but to clean my gut coz i honestly feel so constipated these past few days from eating junks lol.

Basically, my work is walking all day which leads me to getting 15k average steps per day and I work straight 5 days a week. I know I will faint from eating nothing at all, do yall have some hacks to avoid that without eating solid foods? Liquids will do me good and I did this before when im still a jobless person xd.

Ik I will get some comments that this will or might lead to ed but I do this occasionally its js kinda diff now since I have work. Anyone tried doing this? And what happened did u feel sick or whtvr?

Is it worth it to take courses there? Like is it literally 100% free and they won’t get anything from you? I wanted to get a course about business and take non english language classes but i was wondering how many years it took to finish one degree? Honestly, just wanted to kill time because im planning to study in med school but im still tryna save up for it and i wanna take the opportunity for extra knowledge while im still saving up for med school. I feel like im js wasting my time working 40hrs per week and that’s all i do. I don’t have extra money rn and the first thing im tryna save money for is car so i can get a better job and go to school at the same time not worrying about commuting.

Btw, I js moved here in the states 4 months ago so as u can see im starting from scratch. I work with walmart for almost 3mos already and istg working all day makes me feel so left behind when im an achiever in my country. I do really need yall suggestions if its worth it to take classes and wont get any deductions from my paycheck or like i have to work for walmart for years after getting that degree.

Im so worked up today because everything is js not in stock and almost everything is in the backroom. Ik what’s metrics fraud but it’s our TLs rule to look in the backroom when its in stock. Honestly, if they let us do it can’t they make our life easier? Like aside from item not found, they should also put an option like look in the backroom and we can skip it so everything that’s in the backroom will be in the end of the pick and we js have to go once in the backroom and look for it. 😪 sighh i feel like quitting soon because of this, maybe js hire a robot instead yk.

Whoever suggested that, fuck u bru. We’re almost overdue earlier because we keep getting 10-20 items per round we had to call other associates from other departments. 6 totes is acceptable but doing both at the same time is a waste of time plus running around the store js to get 1 item per aisle like cmon bro.. One thing also about gmds with autos is gmds isn’t even near due and the autos are almost due but for some reason the system mix them both that makes it overdue because the other autos that needs to be done first is replaced by gmds that’s not even almost due.

So I’m having a problem with my address, I already changed it many times in my account but it only says submitted and no email was sent from USCIS about changing my address. The thing about it is when I was changing my address in the immigration in sf airport with the officer, he did put the wrong number instead of 60 cedar pointe loop it became 67 pointe loop, I knew it was wrong when my ssn came. Well, im glad my ssn came with that address. I knew its gonna go bad with USCIS with that address so I changed it but idk if they really changed it because now my green card is now being returned in USCIS. I cant also submit a request to re email it, it says the receipt cannot be found or sumn. My temporary green card is expiring soon and im getting really really worried about it. I also called the USCIS last time but the lady i spoke to is so rude and even needs the petitioner in call which is my dad and he’s always in work. Is there any way to solve this problem? Any of yall had the same situation as me?

Im wondering for those who picks all day, what do you do to stay sane throughout the day without energy drinks or coffee? Honestly, if i dont drink monster, customers annoys me easily so I had to drink to keep myself sane lol ik its hilarious but its the only thing that keeps me in the mood. I dont like or drink coffee tho so energy drink is my second option. Im also working 5-2 and istg i sleep 6-7hrs but im still so exhausted without drinking it. Ik that its unhealthy so im trying to stop drinking it, doesn’t taste good anyways its like drinking a liquor bc ur heart broken lol. I also skip breakfast but doesn’t change a thing after taking a lunch.
