Connect graphic equalizer to speaker wire?

Hi everyone,

I have a bit of an odd setup that works perfectly, but I'd like to change one thing.

Currently its as follows:

Wiim Pro Plus -> Graphic Equalizer -> passive 1-to-4 RCA splitter -> three hifi systems (so I can use the Wimm with each system) -> amp switch box -> speakers

This means the Wiim's signal goes through the equalizer, but whenever I play other media on the systems themselves, the equalizer does nothing.

I was wondering if its possible to connect the equalizer at the end of the chain, before the speakers, so it received the input from everything.

Is there a way to piggyback off the speaker wire or something else without frying anything?

EDIT - The Wiim and each system have their own EQ options so I don't necessarily need the separate equalizer for, well equalizing. I mostly got it for the looks, so if I could hijack the speaker wire signal and feed it into the equalizer somehow, I'd be happy too.

Looking for PCIE-slot card without PCIE connector

Hi everyone,

I have almost completed my childhood nerd dream of completely populating every slot on the back of my case, only the upper one is left. This one doesn’t correspond to an actual PCIE slot on my motherboard.

I’m looking for a fun/cool/interesting/not completely useless card that has a pci slot bracket but doesn’t require a PCIE slot on the motherboard.

Two I did find are SATA SSD caddy cards and ones with extra USB ports, which I don’t want or need. Other suggestions are very welcome!

Noctua offset bracket for LGA1700

Hi everyone,

I have created a very specific issue by picking very specific parts and I'm looking for a solution that I think would exist, but might not.

Here's the situation:
I have an Asus Z790 Apex (first version) and a Noctua NH-U12A in a Cooler Master SL600M.
Because of this case's airflow orientation I wanted to flip my cooler a quarter turn to vertical, however, because of how close the ram is to the CPU on this board, the ram is in the way of the heatpipes.

So I figured, there has to be some kind of offset bracket, but I could only find the Noctua NM-AMB15 (and the AMB14 down to AMB12), for AMD boards. However on Noctua's own website it states that both the AMD and the LGA1700 brackets have an 78mm hole spacing.

Does anyone know if this works, and if not, have any other suggestions? Or am I SOL?

Google account option does not appear after entering wrong PIN 5 times

Hi everyone,

As the title says my old Huawei G510 doesn't give me the option to log in/reset the pin using my Google account after entering the wrong pin 5 times. It just locks me out for 30 seconds.

I forgot my pin and USB debugging is not turned on, so this would be my only chance to recover my photos afaik.

Does this phone simply not have this feature, or did this come later and simply wasn't a thing back then?

Swap storage chip to other phone?

Hi everyone,

I have an old Huawei G510 of which I forgot my pin. No, I'm not a thief, and yes that is what a thief would say, but please help me out.

Also, if this is not allowed on this sub I understand, but I couldn't find any rules so here we go.

This phone boots to the login screen asking for my pin.
Entering 5 incorrect pins to then restore the pin using my Google account doesn't work since it simply doesn't appear as an option.

USB Debugging is not enabled and I have not found a way to enable it without unlocking the phone.

I was thinking, these phones can be had second-hand for basically free. This is probably a shot in the dark, but would it be possible to move the storage chip to another phone of the same model and would that allow me to access my data?

Or maybe the other way around, would it be possible to solder a different storage chip to my phone, reset the phone and therefore the pin, and solder the original chip back?

Apologies if this is a really stupid question, I'm just trying to find a way to get my data back.
