I fucking love this sub

The fucking comments to the posts are hilarious.

And the funniest thing is, when there is a serious discussion it’s like the regard has been vaporized from the mind and everyone turned into a mini genius.

HM to the Doakes behind the wheel meme where they turned him into a regard 😂 😂

I'm siding with Wicked with a few caveats that I would like to mention.

So I'm sure this topic has been discussed for a hundred times already but I wanna give it go anyways. This is based upon the movies and not the books, I am unaware the movie leaves out a lot of context, I don't know which ones specific. So please keep that in mind.

I will make the case that Thomas and his friends are just as, if not more egoistical and selfish than Wicked. First off, he risks the lives of over 100 kids to save Minho a guy he’d known for less than six months, brother be so forreal. Which only works btw because of stupid amount of plot armour. And ofcourse their bandit friends burn down the entire city while doing so. Please explain how that is going to improve the lives of literally anyone? The bandits genuinely looked at that place and thought: "Well if I can't have it, no one can." Worse, when Thomas realizes his blood is the literal cure, he chooses to abandon the mainland to live on a private island, which basically dooms the mainland to perish and despair. Not even trying to do small blood samples himself. They definetly could, look at Scorch earth when they met Brenda during the lightning storm, the survivors are perfectly capable to capture and detain the cranks, and thus perform experiments.

Yes I do agree that Wicked was torturing teens in the maze, and I don't know why they did that, when they could've just strapped them to chairs instead of a gigantic cage for some kind of perverse bloodsport. But must I remind you that at the end of the film, they actually take the more human road of keeping them save, strapped to chairs and not at risk of being eviscerated by literal aliens.

So to conclude, Thomas doesn't actually cares about anyone besides himselfs and his immideate friends. And if I have to choose between two sides, where one only cares about himself and the other side are cold hearted motherfuckers but atleast they're trying to save humanity while doing it, I am so sorry to tell you. But Teresa wouldn't even have gotten the chance to contact Wicked, I would have personally lead them to the Right arm the instant I got the chance.

And if you STILL disagree with me, remember that Thomas HIMSELF was about to make a deal with Ava, but ofcourse that cross-eyed douchebag shot Ava before we could've seen that alternate ending. Also still remains a mystery to me why he killed Ava at all. His goal was to save himself because he was infected, so he killed the doctor and then tried to kill Thomas, the literal only person able to save him? It just felt like the writers HAD to make wicked unnecessarily evil, otherwise people would just not side with Thomas.

I had one LD in my entire youth and didn't even know it at the time.

I was pretty young around the age of 6 and I was having my first ever nightmare too. Wasn't too crazy I still remember it well even though it's 14 years ago now. Basically everything was black and white like in the original mickey mouse cartoons. And we were golfing with apples which suddenly changed into skeletal heads. Nothing crazy, but six year old me was freaked out.

I basically told myself in the dream I didn't want to see this so I imagined myself being in the cinema that I went frequently with grandma. Logic being, in the cinema you can decide what you watch, so that's what I'll do.
And even though I can lucid dream now too, it wasn't anything like that first original experience, because my nightmare was FIGHTING BACK. In summary I would picture myself the cinema and told myself Thomas the engine would play on screen now. (i was a huge fan, I was building monster sized railway systems with those tracks back then). Anyways the curtains would roll back and show me Thomas. Yet after a couple of seconds the curtains would cover the screen, roll back again and show me the fucking nightmare again I kid you not. So I would fight it by rolling the curtains over the screen again and showing me thomas yet again. This would continue for like 3 or 4 times. I can't quite remember what happend after but I probably woke up.

Anyways I do not know why but I didn't had a single nightmare ever since that day. I did have a small period where I had more like extreme anxiety dreams if you don't count those as nightmares more of the horror dreams. I was caught smoking around that time and vowed to not do again. Basically in those dreams, it felt hyper realistic so I didn't know I was dreaming and I would smoke with my friends. And I'd absolutely freak out. Literally waking up and thanking heavens im laying in bed. Sometimes even laying in bed not knowing if the dream was real or not, having to account the events of the day before to make sure I wasn't cause I honestly couldn't tell in my gut feeling.

Anyone else experiences physical discomfort borderline pain while lucid dreaming, but not from the lucid dream itself?

TLDR: Unexplained pain in my teeth that had nothing at all to do with my dream. As soon as I woke up from that and other phsyical distortions I simply woke up because I lost most control and was too lazy to chase the state again

I'll keep it short with some context first. I just fell asleep for I guess 20 minutes and during the dream I was about to start doing things which I normally wouldn't do. It was close to a realistic day to day experience in my dream. Halfway through I realised that the location itself wasn't familiar so I could do anything I want. So I did, I did a number of things like trowing mini fur peeps toys, like baby chicken in the air. And mid air they started transforming into real peeps and I'd pet them. One even transformed into a 1 meter tall fur T-rex. After that happend I started flying backwards (I guess feet first) with my back to the sky. Weird, but yeah. I couldn't fully control it too. It's kind of like giving a prompt to AI. You give the imput and form what you want do and AI prints out the details of how exactly it happens. The aspects of what I wanted to do came out but they had weird side effects like the the toys transforming and one even into a t-rex which I couldn't quite understand why lol.

Anyways after a few moments my index finger really started hurting. And it wasn't caused by anything in the dream. So while still dreaming I reposition my hand in real life. I was kind of laying on top of it. Okay that was relieved but right after one of my tooth started to really hurt. Kind of like when you shift your jaw all the way to one side so your teeth aren't aligned anymore and then try to apply force.

I tried shift my jaw back but nothing. And I knew that my jaw was probably in the right place (insert Radio Head) because even though it did feel locked that was probably because it was in the right place, if it wasn't it probably wouldve slided right back into position. During that sort of struggle with myself 50% of my vision in my dream went black. Exactly like when you close one eye in real life. So I was really confused, do I go on dreaming with one eye shut, or do I have to open my dream eye? So I tried opening my eye in my dream which ofcourse did absolutely nothing, but it didn't awoke me either. Anyways even after all that ruckus I was still kind of free to move around in my dream altough I lost alot of controls. Then I had this moment where the dream was kind of slipping/fading away from me, and to be honest I couldn't really be bothered to 'chase' it.

I woke up and the pain in my tooth was not present at all. And my teeth were (Radio Head) I did see that my hand was completely squeezed between my thighs. I'm guessing my body couldn't make fine adjustments anymore while I was in control of the dream or something?

Anyways if you experienced something like this too please let me know. It's my second lucid dream and my first lucid dream also ended because of physical discomfort, but that one was more logical because I was laying on something.

Though it does kind of suck, literally yesterday I rolled on top of a hard square object that I forgot in my bed and slept right through. Though when I waked up it hurt like a mf. Now im waking up because my finger couldn't handle being between my legs for a few minutes lol.

Opinion on bone temple and 28 years later. Especially on the reason for Spike leaving and not returning to his camp.

TD:LR Spike is a little cunt for leaving his camp and not returning. I do not understand it. Also we turned Samson into a Frankenstein. Humans and infected don't want him and the only one that couldve cured more died to a minor cut? Lets remember that Spike survived a closed building gas explosion with nothing but a scratch. Scrap that, NOT EVEN a scratch. I liked the cohesiveness of the 28 inch later, which definitely made it more enjoyable than 28 years later, but the rationale behind most decisions of our protagonists in 28 inch still leaves much to be desired.

I have to start by saying that I liked the 28 inches later more than the first 28 x later. Especially because I watched them back to back. The first felt like three different storylines and a lot of "What if we added this in the movie for fun?." It left me feeling unsatisfied and confused. For reference I did not watch any trailers or knew anything about this movie beforehand. All my expectations came from the previous movies, so the bar for an intense thriller was high. And ofcourse like many others, was not met.

I have to say bonetemple actually felt like it had a decent storyline throughout the film. Crazy yes, but cohesive. I did have to laugh out loud a few moments because of the oddness of it all, especially when Jimmy gets to meet Ian (Dr. Kelson) and I couldn't help thinking to myself, "when someone trying to look insane meets someone that is trying to look sane." But to be fair the first 28x later had a lot more wtf moments than 28 inches so I'll give em that.

Something that kept bugging me out a lot, which I'm gonna explain my reasons for here, is why Spike didn't return to his community at all. I mean he was clearly disturbed by his cult friends. But he never actually tried to leave which I found weird. His group is mostly on the move all the time and there are always moments of opportunity in such cases. I just kept thinking myself, there is no way you hold such a grudge against your father that you'd rather go around skinning people alive than having a tough heart-to-heart conversation.

It also doesn't line up with the first 28 years later movie. The first movie is definetely more of layered film, where you gotta go through multiple layers to understand it's meaning (its still ass) but what I understood with the help of some youtube reviews that described the emotional and philosophical context behind it, was that Spike had a problem with the lying about killing infected (when dad goes around parading his son after the first kill) and appearantly that the infected are also 'conscience beings.' So if those were your reasons to leave camp, why hang out with a group that actively violates all of those ideas, on people nonetheless.

Samson in the second movie felt like a justification for Spike's reasons to leave. As to say, see these infected do have a conscience, opposed to Jamie's earlier remarks: "They have no mind, they have no soul." And on top of that, the baby low-slow that stares you straight in the eyes, but doesn't chase after us, after our protaganists appearantly brutally murdered mommy and daddy. Somehow implicating that the low-slow's atleast have some kind of conciounsce and aren't just existing for a rite of passage for our community.

But I felt this to be unfair for a number of reasons. The first being that there was no one on the island so clinically insane to actively seek friends in an infected, an ALPHA nonetheless to seek out remedications. (yes, we will exclude the childbirth scene, everyone agrees that was batshit crazy.)
Also there were no doctors on the island that could even conjure up with theories and formulas to tackle to problem of curing the infected and bringing back their minds and soul.

Last but not least, lets say you and your community of survivors find a stash of medicine while scavaging. Would you be prepared to waste most of that medicine in a desperate, uneducated attempt to the 'cure' the infected? Instead of using it to help your own members, like Spikes dying mom? The only reason why the movie entertained the idea of the infected having minds and souls is because spike is dumb kid, that went on a suicide mission with his mom, and somehow manages to pull it off because of incredible plot armor. Youre telling me they survived a gas explosion inside a closed building with not even a scratch? Deus ex Machina.

I know this is quite a lenghty post about the reason of Spikes departure from his camp, but throughout both movies I just, for the life of me, could not figure out why he did not return. I mean his camp was a day's walk at most. In the end of bone he rather stayed with a psycho girl that had no trouble killing her other comrades. I don't accept the argument along the lines of they would be stronger together. No, because appearantly this little cunt couldn't hit the side of a barn on his first day out, but one day later he was making round trips from the mainland to his camp, while carrying new borns. FYI newborns are NOT quiet at all. If he wanted to, he probably couldve made it before sunrise after crucifying Jimmy.

Overall the story of bonetemple was forsure more cohesive, but that doesn't meant that I automatically liked the story more. Purely because of the unrealistic decisions made. But the more cohesive story did make for a more enjoyable experience forsure. I would rate 28 years 3/5 and 28 inches a 4/5. I'm sorry but youre never topping 28 days later.
It actually felt like the characters were in their right mind trying to survive, instead of trying to become buddies with the infected and helping them through labour. A funny quote I still think of randomly is coincidentally from the first movie about a particular bad idea being proposed by Hannah's dad, to which murphy replied: "No no this is a shit idea, you know why? Because it's obviously a shit idea.... its really fucking obvious a shit idea" And you know what? It turned out to be a really obvious shit idea.

In the end the only one who made any sense was the dad Jamie and Erik. I could even give a pass to Jimmy. I mean he's crazy, but atleast he's rational according to his own beliefs and set of logics. Given that he saw his own father welcome the coming of the dead and having raised himself. I could understand his craziness.

Also something that I personally missed but somebody else pointed this out, is how sad Samsons life must be after ian 'cured' him. He has become the Frankenstein of this world. He has stopped having psychosis and now his infected buddies are trying to kill him, but he is still a carrier of the virus so no human would interact him aswell. If you think about it, that is quite sad. And ofcourse the only one who discovered the cure died from a minor cut. Ok it wasn't minor but come on that blade was like 10cm at most, totally survivable. I mean he was a GP not necessarily a surgeon but he got his doctarate so he knew enough about the matter, and more importantly he probably had the medicine to recover too.

Well let me know what you guys think if the algorithm has blessed you with this post.

I'm new to warthunder, and this is my first time using roll rate to avoid enemy fire. Pretty proud

Now I know my timing wasn't supurb as he grazed my ass cheeks with a few shots, I also lowkey forgot about throttle control if he was to aggressively dive into me, so I could manage a snapshot.

BUT I SURVIVED 🙂

Truthfully, that's mostly what matters, and why my pilot got to have dinner with his wife and kids that same day.

I'm never playing on tokyo server again. There are genuine levels to ts (gold 2)

If I tell you this duo was INSANE. constantly asking me to sk their d and making gay sounds in their funny little accent, but then during all that, that wraith would be pushing whole squads on his OWN gang

I genuinely could not keep up with them. I would follow them, look the other way for a split second, I look back and he would be already 100m further, find a team, and finish the team before I even saw the fucking enemy. Look at his fucking knock to kill ratio. Put this dude in the league man wtf hahaha

Thanks for ruining the slight hope of fun I would have. my MMR IS FUCKED NOW haha

Any1 smarter than me, eli5, gpu wattage being 60w lower than the full capacity. Even though gpu is at 99% and im getting frame drops below 60?

Rtx 2060 super, windows 11, i5-10400f and I desperately need someone smarter than me.

I genuinely dont understand why it does that. My temperatures are fine (below 70), my cpu is acting normally at 50-60% but the gpu wattage drops to 110-130 even though I can play at 180.

And it CAN run at 180w, it does, most of the time. But sometimes it just, dont wanna.

I had a trick that was going to msi afterburner, turning my powerlimit down, and then instantly at max again, which usually made the game run at 180w again. But sometimes after a while it just, dont wanna anymore, and dropped below 130w again. And sometimes the trick doesn't even work.

I have ultimate powerperformance enabled in windows and also nvidea.

I mean if the game ran fine, no problem, but it doesn't.

Genuinely tried every solution undere the sun but I can't think of anything, starting to suspect I just can't get more energy from my outlet or something, since I rigged the whole setup in one power extension box, which btw is rated for 1000w

I love when I watch a tank review, but the reviewer dies half way through and spawns a different tank.

Now they got me watching some gameplay footage of a random tank, from a youtuber i’ve never heard of it.

Honestly 7/10 recommend it, might actually see footage of a tank you never play 👍🏽

u/SmoothButtCake — 1 month ago

Merkava Mk.2D needs a buff

This tanks desperately needs a buff man. Its loader gets knocked out so many times its insane.

On top of that, we should make it so that the commander can also reload the gun, at twice the speed. How else are we, yes we, going destroy khamaz?

While we’re at it, those machine guns should be upgraded to 20mm autocannons with apdsfs. Its too uncompetitive at rank X.

So we might aswell drop its rank to VIII so it can finally have fair match ups.

Oh and TOW missles too man.

The list can go on 🫩🫩

All hail find my !!!

Quite nothing like realising +5 hours later that your airpods are missing 😰

None of the staff believed me here in malaysia because they are not familiar with ios. Swear I looked like a madman digging in their store for 15+ minutes. Going crazier with the minute because I couldnt hear the sound because if all the debris trapping it. Just the visual localizer

Atleast the locals had a laugh since I already asked everyone of them if they had found my airpods. They were happy for me though.

Just something to keep your blood pumping! 🤣

u/SmoothButtCake — 2 months ago

I found happiness

After weeks of painstakingly grinding usa, I finally got another nation, and what a beast this thing is! It’s literally like finding joy again!

Sadly I hate to put most of my event bonds into warbonds to get this opportunity so I did have to miss out on the MSC, as I already picked the merkava, but this thing is genuinely unfair.

The boom and zoom tactics I had to diligently learn and perfect for usa, suit this plane like a fine heel around cinderalla’s feet

I do have to add that tier 8-9 is a completely different ball game than tier 1-7, the lead indicator is almost useless, purely because of the speed with which your enemies travel, if they start doing tricks, their lead indicator will literally start making huge circles and in general the skill gap is just insane. You’ll go from lobbies with 200 match players to encountering people with 2000 matches

u/SmoothButtCake — 2 months ago

Two more days till I get this bad boy. Combined with the F8F-1B I’m buying tomorrow. I have nothing but empathy for my opposition.

u/SmoothButtCake — 2 months ago

So I just wanted to make this post to see if other people would like to see the same.

I’m trying to improve in aviation (you can see how excited that has gotten me in my post history), so sometimes I try to review gameplay to see where I went wrong etc.

But the game limits your camera to a certain degree, so when you’re pulling straight up or diving straight down, you’re not able to see what you we’re seeing in-game.

Since this sub is quite small, I’d count even 10 to 50 people agreeing me as this being a feature that could actively improve quality of life for the game.

I know the snail has just added replay system, but I don’t know if this is on their radar. So when we have the desired 10-50 people or even more, god bless, I would want everyone of us to send a small formal email, adressing this feature to Gajin, in the hopes we can see this being added in the future!

Much love,

SmoothButtCake

I genuinely don’t know how I hit that gap, but oh my lord, was that a satisfying piece of flying.

Shame that the third one got me but hey, 2-for-1 I’d make that deal!

u/SmoothButtCake — 2 months ago

Words cannot express my anger with this dogshit techthree, yet I will.

Either spend all game chasing down bombers all day long before you can start picking off enemies down below.

Or get picked off at the start off the match by stupid head-on fights because, as a American you can literally only boom and zoom all the fucking time!!

God forbid you actually manage to take out the bombers and heaven be blessed the match hasn’t already concluded by then.

EVERYONE IS FIGHTING AT FUCKING SEA LEVEL!

Yes you can pick someone off. And out run them, yes great. That works 1 or 2 times before inevitably a stinking Yak or Japanese turn god spawns and chases you down the minute he spots you Boom and zooming at 1km altitude.

Fucking hell I hate this stupid tech three
