The writing is really good but i honestly didn't have the heart to finish it cause the characters were SOOOO beautifully written and the relationship b/w Beowulf and Hygd is sooo intricately portrayed that you can actually feel the emotions that they are feeling thus making the ending even more sadder.

But, if you're looking for a good historical read with plenty of adventure and don't mind sad endings, then this is the perfect book for you.

Basically, this vile man assaults Rachel and tries to steal her land but then the protagonist(Trace), who's a cop in modern world time travels to this time period(which is 1879), falls in love with Rachel, builds a life together with her and then takes revenge on that man.

Synopsis of the novel-

Trace instantly feels an attraction towards Rachel and then the story continues with Trace adjusting to the time period, redeeming herself, helping Rachel and finding love. And, it's a HEA!!!!!
