Finally got my holster in the mail and I'm confident enough to say the belt is "done". Still waiting on a belt from Defense Mechanisms and then I'll also add a small GP pouch. (List in comments)
My beard has kinda, more or less, looked the same for the past year. I tend to trim it so the hair on the sides is shorter than the hair on my chin, but have been thinking of just not touching it at all for a few months and see what happens. My hair tends to grow out really curly and never lays flat so it looks kinda funky after some growth that's why I normally trim it. Grows up my cheeks some, but is really sparse and patchy so I tend to shave that off entirely.
So, yesterday, I had my first use of force ever since being on the floor. I've been on the floor just shy of 3 months now, so im basically a brand new newbie lol.
It was morning chow and an inmate tried to take food from the chow hall out, which we dont allow at our facility (I dont know if it differs at others), and was stopped. He proceeded to try and regain entry to which a nearby sergeant stopped him and told him to hand over the food or get cuffed. The inmate threw the food into the sergeants face, to which me and another CO (also fairly new) jumped in to restrain the inmate. A 3rd CO was nearby who radio'd in what was happening and then began to push back the surrounding inmates. After about a 1-2 minute struggle, and a 3rd CO jumped in to get him down on the ground quickly, he was on the ground and in cuffs.
Honestly I wouldn't have really thought too much more of it, we know we could have done better, it was rough, and the sergeant let us know how we could have improved. What kinda upset me though was the dayshift captain tracked us down to call us embarresments and dissapointments, like thats all he said to us and then refused to speak with us for the rest of the evaluation. Like we know it was rough and none of us were at all proud of it, but felt kinda harsh.
IDK I just felt the need to get that off my chest. Im probably overreacting to what he said, but just was not happy about any of that situation from start to end.
I just recently got the SBR stamp approved :) paintjob is kinda meh tho but it was my first time trying it out.
I just recently got my SBR approved and so I went ahead and sprayed it up with some custom stencils I designed and 3D printed myself. Supposed to be sorta DCU but obviously it's not color correct or nothing like that, just regular spray paint.
Does anyone have any experience with the B-13 clones? Are they weak/dont hold zero? looking for a decent dovetail rail for my Saiga-12 and I like the way the B-13 looks but cant justify the cost of a real one. If I dont get this I'll probably go for a midwest industries or AK master mount, trying not to spend too much money on one of these lol.
I know it's probably a screw on the side that's missing, but does anybody here know what measurement of screw I would need? Or if they make just a replacement of this rear sight I can buy?
Hello, I'm trying to decide whether I should spend the money on the Barwarus Zenitco clone dust cover or just keep the TWS Gen 3 that I have.
I know the Gen3 is tested and works, I'm mostly wanting the Barwarus for the looks and retention of the stock rear sight leaf, although I know the TWS has the peep sight so it's not like I'm losing BIS with the TWS.
Just curious what y'all would do? One half of me wants to for the aesthetic, the other half kinda knows it's dumb to spend $300 to go from railed dust cover to railed dust cover lol.
