Help with manifesting with OCD

Hi,

I’m new-ish to the law of assumption but I’ve dabbled in things like witchcraft and manifesting off and on for years. I am in my 30s and struggle with OCD so there have been a lot of times when I’ve felt like my anxiety just ramps up more when I try to engage in any kind of ritual or spiritual work.

About a month ago my SP and I stopped talking. They blocked me on a couple different platforms. I initially felt pretty hopeless because this happened after we had already fallen out of contact and gotten back in touch. But then I started seeing more content about the law of assumption and decided to give it a try. I wrote down my desire in my journal — that my SP is coming back within the month and that I won’t have to reach out first and we’ll begin a healthy long term relationship.

When I first decided on my desire, I felt a bodily sense of calm. I didn’t feel like there was anything else I needed to do. But since then, as 3D time has worn on, I’ve grown increasingly antsy. I go back and forth between feeling like I need to just “give up” (aka trick myself into Detatching), or feeling like I am just not doing anything right. I’m scared that I want this desire too much.

I’ve noticed my compulsive tendencies starting to kick in the past couple days because now we’re reaching the one month mark since I first wrote down my desire and I haven’t heard from my SP in 3D. I’ve been affirming robotically in my head and freaking myself out with my own doubts. I’m exhausted and I also don’t want to give up.

I’ve been taking a break from social media to tune out all the astrology/manifestation content that was coming up on my newsfeeds, but I’d love to know if anyone else here has experience with manifesting while also struggling with OCD.

Also curious how folks have handled it when they’ve tried manifesting something in a particular timeframe (like on a 3D linear way) and then have watched the deadline come and go….what did you do after that? How did you reframe your desire? Did you just give up?

Also how do you stop feeling like you’re going crazy for waiting to see something in your 3D when it feels entirely improbably from an outside perspective? I’m losing it.

I am drowning and I don’t know how to get out of this loop

Having an awful flare

I’m 32F and I was doing alright for a while but recently I think I’m experiencing a flare up.

For some additional context, I have adhd and autism along with ocd. I started Prozac this year and it helped immensely with the anxiety, but the past couple weeks have been hell.

I had taken a break from dating for about five months and happened to match with someone a little over a month ago. We hit it off and chatted almost every day for a month and went on three dates. Everything seemed like it was headed in a positive direction. Each time I felt my regular rocd flair up the way it does when I am talking to someone new, this person surprised me by continuing to show up consistently and offering reassurance even when I didn’t ask. I truly felt like I could let down my guard.

Then the beginning of this week, they essentially told me that they are not doing well mentally and need to take a break from dating. And it’s like they dropped off the face of the earth. I have been a wreck since then and have been engaging in compulsions nonstop — checking to see if they’ve added to a playlist we made together, checking my texts, and (the worst one imo) pulling tarot cards over and over hoping for some magical sign that they’ll come back.

I feel so much shame and I also feel physically drained from being so anxious. Logically, I know I have no control over the situation. I said what I could in hopes of getting them to rethink their decision to pull back and I made it clear I’m available to talk whenever they want. But I still find myself ruminating over everything obsessively and feeling like if I just do one more tarot spread or send one more text I’ll be able to change things. It sounds so stupid typing it out. I feel disgusted by myself and my own mental illness. And I feel sad and abandoned. It feels like my ocd has ramped up particularly badly because this situation began after I had finally relaxed my jaw and started to feel confident talking to this person. It’s like my anxiety is saying “look, you let your guard down and the worst thing came true — you got left again”.

For me I know there is also high overlap between my autistic special interests/adhd hyper fixations/ocd obsessions. So it’s really hard to snap out of the thought loops. I don’t really know what to do. I’m tired and sad and I just want this to go away.

Hi there, I'm in my early 30s and last year I came out as nonbinary. I'm AFAB but have always sort of felt like I exist somewhere outside a gender binary. Earlier this year, I started getting closer with someone who is also nonbinary, but who is AMAB.

I was pretty much immediately attracted to them when I first met them. And then as we've gotten closer, I've only grown more comfortable around them. We've recently acknowledged we have feelings for each other that go beyond platonic friendship. We both are trying to take things slow because we both have struggled with limerence before. So we haven't done anything sexual yet, we've just been enjoying time around each other.

All that said, They have mentioned that they eventually want to get on hormones, and that they also identify as 'she'. I had an idea about them using she/they pronouns, but not the part about wanting to medically transition.

The more I get to know them, the more I have this sort of steady feeling that I'm meant to keep getting to know more, and to keep seeing where this goes. But I also have alot of anxiety coming up when I consider the idea of getting more seriously involved with them and then for them to one day start hormones. I am physically attracted to them now, but they currently still present very masc. They have a beautiful deep voice and have other 'masculine' features I typically am drawn to.

Since becoming more aware of my own attraction to them, (and before I even confessed any feelings) I've been feeling really confused about myself. The comfort they feel about their own queerness and their identity brought up a bunch of inner turmoil for me because I'm still not sure who I am. I definitely think I lean more towards being attracted to male features/masculinity, but I also have gone back and forth about whether or not I should try dating women.

I guess I'm anxious because even though I suspect I am attracted to both femininity and masculinity in different ways, I would feel terrible if I got further into dating this person and then lost attraction if/when they decided to transition to present more 'feminine'.

As I mentioned earlier, we still are taking things very slow and I currently feel attracted to them and feel very safe around them in ways I haven't felt with other people I've dated. But am I being reckless or dishonest if I keep dating them while also still having anxieties about what their potential transition might do to our dynamic in the future?

A big part of me feels lead to just keep taking things slowly and to see where things go since nothing and no one is really guaranteed to be the same in the future. But I also don't want to hurt them.
