Is this a joke? I got pricing details and am pretty sure I am in the first wave of people on the waitlist to get the membership “invite” and assume this is as good as it will get. am i supposed to be honored that they are offering a $200 discount on initiation fees for being on the waitlist when equinox and others have been aggressively waiving initiation fees entirely?
I ordered a 75" Frame Pro directly from Samsung.com and noticed a pretty clear panel uniformity issue shortly after installation — there’s a darker/yellowish area that stays in the same spot across different content and is also visible on a uniform test screen.
I’m trying to exchange it, but Samsung is making this difficult. The order/return page doesn’t even seem to show me a working return/exchange option, and support keeps bouncing me around.
Has anyone dealt with a defective Frame/Frame Pro purchased directly from Samsung.com? Did Samsung arrange an in-home pickup/unmounting or bring packaging? Were you able to get a straight exchange rather than a repair?
Any advice on the right department to contact or specific language to use would be hugely appreciated.
Has anyone here actually used both the 2025 and 2026 Frame Pro?
I’m mainly curious about the new “Glare Free” treatment on the 2026. Does it make any noticeable real-world difference compared with the 2025 matte screen — better blacks during the day, less glare, different screen texture, anything like that?
The discounts on the 2025 Frame Pro are so deep right now that I’m seriously debating whether it makes sense to pay a big premium for the 2026.
Would especially love to hear from people who have actually seen or owned both generations, rather than just comparing specs. Also curious whether you noticed any difference in Wireless One Connect reliability or overall picture quality.
When people refer to their "score" what are they referring to? It looks like they have a score for differtn features, but no overall aesthetic score (at least on my report) like I see on some of the posts people have shared here. I just see separate scores for "protypicality" "propotions" etc) but no like overall score. Where are people finding that?
What you see in the photo is my 2021 Frame (65 in) which as you can see has some noticeable glare issues. The TV is perfectly functional after five years so I have been hesitant about upgrading to a new version but am finally getting around to it and had some questions before I pull the trigger:
be bigger.
In the photo is an older Frame 65 inch from 2021. I’m annoyed with the glare and am finally getting around to getting a new Frame TV for this wall. Some questions:
Call this Stockholm syndrome, but I'm wondering whether people are overstating how transformative the jump from Biglaw to a more normal 9-5 actually is in terms of quality of life.
I see my friends who went in house or somewhere else for better work life balance but they are still generally working till 5/6 pm, 4 pm on a good day. And in practice, I'm convinced most people are not spending their weeknights in some state of self-actualization. 9-5 is still a grind, people are tired, come home, eat, work out, run errands, decompress (some combination of doom scrolling and netflix), maybe see some friends, waste some time, and poof, it's bedtime and the week is over before you know it. Yes we have to log in and put in some more hours after dinner, but at least we get paid substantially more in biglaw (and there are slow periods where we're working 3 hour days). And if the hours between 6 and 10 pm are getting absorbed into the normal post-work/pre-bed routine anyway regardless of whether you’re in biglaw or doing something more chill, then that makes the calculus for leaving feel much less obvious to me than people are making it sound.
So for people who made the jump: what are those extra evening hours actually buying you that feels worth the pay cut especially in the context of biglaw, where you're walking away from a very competitive compensation trajectory? Are you genuinely living some transcendent, self-actualized existence from 6 to 10 pm that makes the pay cut obviously worth it, or do your weeknights still mostly look like dinner, gym, errands, decompressing, and wasting some time and the occasional dinner/drinks out with friends/SOs/family?
Are people generally busier than usual this summer? I know the match is coming but can we pls expedite LOLL why does this need a discussion and why is everyone waiting for Cravath at this point.
Hi all — I just moved into a new apartment and I’m trying to replace the existing wall-mounted toilet with a full bidet toilet / smart toilet.
The current toilet is wall-attached, and I’m a little confused about compatibility. Some models I’m seeing seem to require an in-wall tank/frame, while others advertise a “built-in water tank” and appear to install more like a standalone upgraded unit.
My questions are:
I’m trying to avoid buying the wrong model or discovering that the wall has to be opened up after the fact. Any advice from plumbers or people who have done this would be hugely appreciated.
See pics for my existing toilet, and a couple options I am exploring.

I'm moving to a new city where I won't be needing a car and now have $42000 in cash from selling my car that I would like to set aside and invest somewhere and just not look at for a couple years. Probably thinking S&P all in ....but given possible and maybe even likely volatility coming ahead, is there an argument for investing chunks at a time vs. all in at once and not looking again? Thoughts on long $SPY calls? (Because ultimately if I think S&P will go up by end of year or next year even 5%, maybe I should bet on it?) Thoughts? Where would you put your money if you had 42k in cash that you want to set aside but also want to get some nice exposure.
I’m curious about the people who didn’t start Biglaw thinking they wanted to make partner, but ultimately stayed and did it.
When did you lock in?
To be clear, by “lock in” I don’t mean when you started taking the job seriously or became committed in your day-to-day work. From the outside, I’m sure most people would say I’m already committed. I’m talking about the internal shift—when you stopped viewing Biglaw as a temporary chapter and stopped mentally keeping one foot out the door.
I’m a fifth-year heading into my sixth year in a few months. Like a lot of people, I’ve spent plenty of time flirting with other paths over the years—in-house, government, startups, completely different careers, etc. But lately I’ve found myself at a bit of a mental fork in the road.
I generally enjoy the work. Not every day, obviously, but I still find it very interesting and occasionally even fun. The hours can be rough when they’re rough, but honestly I don’t think it’s been quite as miserable as some of the horror stories I heard before joining. I feel reasonably confident about where I stand at the firm and the practice group (while fully recognizing that means very little in the grand scheme of things).
At the same time, AI and the general air of uncertainty around the profession (and watching other people make other choices) have me wondering whether I should still be actively plotting some alternative path—or whether this is just what my career is going to be.
And if that’s the answer, that’s okay. I think part of me is wondering whether there comes a point where you stop treating Biglaw as a temporary phase and just commit to seeing how far you can take it.
So for those who eventually made partner: when did you stop questioning everything and decide to lock in?
Hear me out. TLDR - $6500 for a 500 sq ft bedroom in Chelsea that will be convenient AF, or eke out a bit more ($7.5-8k) for a much bigger space close to 1000 sq ft in a very, very nice, new building in Bryant Park (so..Midtown) that will also come with access to fancy club amenities in the building?
I work in Hudson Yards and am currently looking at two very different housing options - one by 23/7 where my day-to-day will be very convenient (gym, whole foods, pharmacy, subway all in a convenient 500 ft radius essentially), so I will have my routine pretty much set and I am very much a creature of habit and appreciate being anchored in routine for the most part. For that general price point, I can get much more space by Bryant Park (which to me is less convenient, and also...Midtown, but it will feel like a luxe NYC experience that I simply won't have access at a comparable price point in Chelsea. Something in the 900 sq ft range in Chelsea that has good (not even great) amenities is easily $9k+).
$7.5-8k would be pushing it on my current budget for sure, but the upgrade in amenity/space/etc. feels material for just a little more than what I would already be paying in Chelesa for a tiny one bedroom (6.5-6.8k). Things are getting wild and I can't believe I'm even considering 6.5k for a one bedroom after years living in another city, but now that I've simply accepted that I'm going to be paying double what I'm used to paying in rent, the difference between 6.5 and 7.5 doesn't feel huge to me since I'm basically getting screwed either way (lol). What I should optimize for? Is Midtown/Bryant park area really that bad?
