Accidentally ate old rice from rice cooker and I’m freaking out. What do I do???

I just finished eating dinner. I grabbed rice from the rice cooker and it did look a little dried out. I didn’t think anything of it since we usually eat rice from the rice cooker that is kept warmed for about a day (it was at 22hrs). I didn’t realize that the keep warm cycle reset and it reset which means it was cooked a few days ago. I’m terrified of getting sick from this rice and don’t know what to do. I ate about a palm full of rice. Is there anything I can do besides staying hydrated to help???

Electrolytes to use with AVNRT while on Metoprolol Succinate

I am a 26F currently on Metoprolol Succinate with AVNRT. I am looking for electrolytes to bring with me on my Europe trip since I know it’ll be extremely hot and my doctor recommends that I stay hydrated to minimize episodes. He also recommends adding salt to my food if I do not have electrolytes on hand. Due to being on the meds, by bp is average to low since it isn’t very high to begin with.

What brands of electrolytes are recommended to maintain my hr and bp while sweating a lot in the sun. I’ve seen brands that have high sodium like Liquid IV and Drip Drop and ones with low sodium like Ultima.

Any advice is recommended!

Comfortable sandals to wear in August in Italy

I will be traveling to Italy, Rome and Florence, in August. From what I’ve read, it’s supposed to be really hot during this month and I should expect to walk a lot (which I love to do!).

I’m interested in shoe recommendations, especially sandals, that are recommended for lots of walking and will look for the most part decent with many outfits. I’m planning to bring my New Balance 740’s which I know are already great for walking long distances for me. However, I do want to bring another type of shoe that will look nicer with some outfits and will be great for the warm weather.

To be more specific, I’m typically around a women’s 7 1/2 and have flatter feet and sometimes need a wider toe box, which is why the 740’s are perfect for me.

Any recommendations would be helpful!

Sizing help for a gift

I am trying to buy a birthday gift for my boyfriend. He is a size 41 in the regular Arizona Birkenstocks and loves them! He really wants the clogs and I would love to get them for him as a present. Do they fit the same as the Arizona’s or do I need to get a size up since they are closed toed? Any advice is welcome!

Towing Cost! What to do?

I just got my car towed on Washington due to the parade. It was my fault for parking there. I caught the guy as he was towing my car and he said he couldn’t drop it or do anything about it. That I had to go to the lot and get it back.

I was told that I need to pay $304 and there was no negotiating. They said that Hoboken had a flat fee for towing and that on their computer it won’t let them change anything. They also said that there isn’t a drop fee if you catch them towing your car and that they can’t drop this there and then. Is this true? Is there any way to lower the cost? It is extremely high, much higher than I’ve ever paid for towing before and I’ve never heard that they can’t drop your car at the scene if you ask them to.

Please let me know if theres anything I can do or anyone I can call.

Update: I called Hoboken parking utility and mentioned what the tow company told me. He told me that they were allowed to drop it on scene if asked and there would be a lower fee (scene fee). He also said that towing is usually $125 and up and they usually charge more due to storage and what it took to get the car there. I will be calling back on Monday to talk to the lady who is in charge of towing. I’ll see what they say.

I have AVNRT/AVRT and I can’t seem to do weightlifting anymore.

I am a 26F who recently got diagnosed with AVNRT/AVRT back in January after I had my first episode. My episode lasted for about an hour at which time I was at the hospital where they had to bring my heart rate back down with adenosine. After doing a bunch of tests, they diagnosed me. I am currently on beta blockers. This has been my first and only episode that I know of where my heart rate went to about 210bpm without any triggers that I know of (possibly stress or tiredness?).

I have been trying to get back into working out over the past couple months and started doing Pilates/sculpt/yoga classes, which I feel have felt good on my body. However, when I tried doing upper body weightlifting around January/February, my body didn’t feel great, I would feel my heart spike pretty fast, not too high around the 80s-100s but I would always feel a little dizzy or lightheaded, and feel some palpitations. This had never happened to me before since I was used to doing weights at the gym.

I haven’t done it since then, since I was too scared to try, but I tried it again today and got turned off at the gym since it happened again. I can’t say I was too dizzy or lightheaded during those times, but I just didn’t feel great. I needed to sit and drink water for a bit. I looked up why this could be the case and it talked about how overhead movements such as lat pull downs, shoulder presses, cable rows, have people usually brace themselves, and can cause a spike in your heart rate and adrenaline.

I would love any more research for why this could be happening and is it possible for me to do upper body weightlifting again.

My pimple popped, now what do I do? How do I fix this?!

I had a huge pimple on my forehead for almost a month now and it finally popped today. A lot of stuff came out of it along with a really large blackhead. I never had something like this before let alone on my forehead. How do I help with the healing process?? I have put ointment on it and use pimple patches to help get anything else out. I also have Magic Molecule but I’m not sure if that’s something that’s good for me to use on it. Please someone help me figure out what to do because it’s right on my face and I can’t go out like this.
