What are the best free online tools for learning how to code from scratch?????

I want to start teaching myself computer programming but the sheer volume of tutorials, bootcamps, and coding languages available online makes it completely overwhelming to know where to begin.

I am looking for structured platforms that break down complex logical concepts into small interactive lessons that are easy to digest for an absolute beginner.

If you have successfully transitioned into digital tech through self study please share the specific free resources or websites that helped you build a solid foundation.

My immigration lawyer stopped responding to emails 3 weeks ago. What do I actually do?

I paid a significant retainer to an immigration attorney and for the first couple of months things were fine. Now I can't get a response to anything emails, calls, the receptionist always says they'll pass the message.

My case has a deadline coming up and I'm starting to panic.

What are my options here?

Anyone in Australia used FP Insoles? Worth the money here???

Hey guys,

Lately I’ve been dealing with some pretty nasty heel bruising, so I’ve been looking into getting a pair of Footprint Insoles. I’ve seen all the insane videos online of people jumping off roofs in them and dropping bowling balls on their hands, but I wanted to hear some genuine opinions from Aussies before spending the money.

They seem fairly pricey to get here once you include shipping costs, or even when buying from local skate shops if you can actually find them in stock.

For anyone who’s used them can clear out?:

- Are they really worth the hype? Do they noticeably reduce impact and help your knees and heels, or is it mostly just marketing?

- How durable are they? Can they survive through multiple pairs of shoes, or do they wear out and flatten pretty quickly?

- Fit and sizing: Did you choose the flat version or the heat-moldable ones? I’ve heard mixed opinions about the arch support.

- What’s the best place to buy them in Australia? Did you order directly from their website, or is there a local distributor or skate shop with reliable stock? I’ve also heard there are a few similar-looking websites around and I’d rather avoid getting scammed.

Would love to hear your experiences, or if there are any better alternatives that are easier to get in Australia. Cheers in comments!!

Pocket 4 vs iPhone YT video made me rethink the hype

I watched this Pocket 4 vs iPhone 17 Pro video and it made me think about all the pocket cam hype right now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dD3o0ysM7xg

My biggest takeaway is that phones and pocket cams are already good enough for most people. So with Pocket 4 Pro, Luna, and Muse 2 Pro all getting attention, I’m starting to care less about who has the craziest specs and more about a creators workflow. Does it make you shoot more? Is it easy to carry? Does it make filming feel less annoying than using your phone? And does it attract too much attention? (Honestly, I’ve realized a lot of people care about that more than I expected.)

Both Pocket 4P and Muse 2 Pro look exciting, Luna has the attention of being Insta's first gen pocket cam. But at the end of the day, I feel like the best one might just be the camera that gets used the most.

Curious about what everyone thinks. Are you waiting for one of these new pocket cams, or is your phone/current camera already enough???

Finished the work. Client was happy with everything. Approved and signed off on it weeks ago. Still no sign of the $4,100 payment.

Tried following up politely at first, got nowhere. Even sent a proper formal demand letter through DocDraft thinking it would show I’m serious. They replied with a “we’ll get it sorted soon” and then completely vanished again.

At what point does patience just become unpaid work? Has anyone here actually taken a client to small claims over delayed payments like this? Did it get results or just burn the relationship completely?

I know the usual paths exist collections, legal escalation, court etc. Mostly wondering where other people finally drew the line and what actually made the client pay.

Is buying Bruno tickets from resale sites actually safe?

So my little sister called me yesterday freaking out because she saw Bruno’s Paris dates and begged me to take her as a belated graduation gift. I checked the official tickets, and of course they’re either sold out or ridiculously expensive.

I started looking into resale options late last night (like a 1 am mini rabbit hole) and came across a bunch of different sites. One was Seatpin, along with a few others I’d never even heard of. The reviews are all over the place, and now I’m kind of paranoid about getting scammed or showing up and having the tickets not scan. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but it’s a lot of money for me.

For anyone who’s been to a Bruno show recently using resale tickets — how did you buy them? Were e-tickets accepted at the venue? Any sites you trust or ones you’d stay away from? Also, is it smarter to buy now or wait closer to the date and hope prices drop?

Would love to hear any experiences or advice, good or bad, so I don’t accidentally ruin my sister’s big Bruno night.

[All] [N/A] Why your balcony inspection quotes are all over the place (SB 326 /721)

If you are an HOA board member or property manager in California, you have probably noticed that inspection bids vary wildly. I did some digging into why one quote is $2k and the next is $10k.

It usually comes down to how they actually "see" the wood inside your balconies. The law requires inspecting the load bearing components. Some companies just do a walk through, which is a huge red flag because it might not pass a state audit. The better way is using a borescope camera. It only needs a tiny half inch hole in the stucco to check for dry rot without tearing the whole thing apart.

Also, check who is signing the report. For SB 326, it has to be a licensed architect or structural engineer. If a general contractor signs it, the report is basically useless for compliance.

I recommend looking into Drbalcony .com because they specialize in the inspection side without the conflict of interest that comes from companies also trying to sell you the repair contract.

Has anyone else had issues with lenders asking for these reports during escrow lately? I am seeing more banks blocking refinances until the stamped report is filed

A year with PetSnowy: Why my cats are still obsessed!

Honestly, choosing the PetSnowy was such a win for us. My two kitties and I have been using it for over a year now, and we’re still totally in love.

As a first-time automatic litter box owner, I was a bit nervous about the tech, but this thing is literally plug and play. The app is a lifesaver because it tracks their weight and exactly how long they spend doing their business. Since I have two cats, I love that it can actually tell them apart! I can see who went in, how many times, and for how long. It’s great for keeping an eye on their health routine without being a helicopter cat-mom.

I usually swap the waste bag twice a week (the app pings you when it’s full, super handy). The best part? Zero smells and almost no litter tracking. My living room finally smells like a home again, not a giant sandbox.

But the real cherry on top is the little curtain. My girls are so private. They loathe being stared at when they’re on their throne, and that little corridor gives them the peace they deserve.

Quick shoutout to their support team too! I actually had a minor hiccup a few months back (totally thought I broke something, lol), but I reached out to them and they were amazing. They didn't just give me a generic template; they actually walked me through the fix and were super quick to reply. If you’re ever stuck, just message them—they really know their stuff and actually care.

All in all, total game changer for our household! 🐾❤️

Leveraging AI for personalized customer experience at scale

One of the most powerful ways to generative tech is creating truly personalized content for every individual user. Instead of broad marketing segments we can now tailor messages and recommendations based on real time user behaviour and preferences. This level of personalization was previously impossible at scale due to the manual work involved. By using AI to dynamically generate these experience, we can increase engagement and build stronger connections with our audience. The goal is to make every uses feel like the product was built specifically for them.
