Someone please tell me I’m not alone.

I was sick a lot as a kid. I developed PANDAS at 11. I haven’t been the same since. I’m 26 now. Currently in a flare and I feel absolutely horrible. My hands are swollen and painful. OCD is taking over. I can’t close my eyes without seeing terrifying faces. Intrusive thoughts. Focal seizures. Chills, headaches, migraines, flushing, skin sensitivity/ stinging, stomach aches, horrible fatigue, brain fog, etc. I’m terrified I’m going to have a tonic clonic again.

I am so, so tired of these flare ups. I just need a community that understands.

Feirza 1/20 swelling & joint pain???

Has anyone experienced swelling & joint pain on Feirza 1/20?? This shit has been hell. Thankfully I’m getting off of it next week. I’m currently on month 4, and this week my hands started hurting really bad + swelling. I’m also having chills, flushing, chronic fatigue, bad brain fog, and HBP spikes.

I’m going to urgent care today. Trying not to freak out because I do NOT feel good. I have chronic inflammation issues- specifically because of my MCAS + pressure induced urticaria. My right hand swells often, but it’s never been both at the same time + this much pain. It feels like my joints are super inflamed. I’m worried that this BC has sent me into a MCAS huge flare up and there’s nothing anyone will be able to do for me 😭😭😭

Feirza 1/20 hell

Can anyone tell me if they’ve experienced the same side effects?? I’m kind of freaking out.

I was put on Feirza 1/20 4 months ago to help manage endometriosis. I also had a Mirena IUD inserted for the same reason last September.

Month 1-2 on Feirza: PMDD, OCD, anxiety, and panic attacks increased. Daily spotting.

Month 3 on Feirza: Daily spotting + occasional cramping. Face and back acne, brain fog, fatigue, bladder emptying problems, bladder pain, itching, smells, vaginal swelling. (Negative for UTI- took 5 tests so far. Issue persists).

Month 4 on Feirza: Really, really bad fatigue. Can’t concentrate. Napping constantly. MY HANDS ARE SWELLING AND MY JOINTS HURT LIKE HELL. I’m literally going to urgent care in a few hours because it’s getting worse by the day.

Yes, I’m getting off of this shit next week. I am just trying to figure out if these symptoms could be caused by something else, or if this has happened to others on Feirza.

I. AM. EXHAUSTED.

I’m moving to Seattle next week with my partner. We both will be ~3 hours away from our friends and family. My partner works up to 16 hours a day, 6 days a week. This moving process has landed almost entirely on my shoulders. I am stressed, to say the least.

I was put on an IUD 6 months ago & estrogen birth control 3 months ago. They have been making my epileptic seizures, migraines, and panic disorder worse. I’ve also developed constant bladder irritation, painful urination, pelvic pain, acne, and it’s worsened PMDD. My current OB doesn’t want me to remove the IUD or switch BC until I’m settled in, since we don’t know if new BC will make it any better + the transition will likely flare me up for a while. The wait lists for neurology and OBGYN at UW & Virginia Mason is 6-8 months. No one else will take my state insurance, and I can’t pay out of pocket.

My primary doctor refused to give me any short term & low dose rescue panic medications. I haven’t requested any in 7 YEARS now. That’s how bad my stress level has gotten- but she still denied it. Instead, she referred me to a psychiatrist and flat out told me that she doubts the psych will be able to help me because of how complex my medical history and allergic reactions are (MCAS). Isn’t that what psychiatrists are for????

I was given 2 seizure rescue pills several months ago, and I have 1 left. I asked my neurologists office for a few more to bridge the gap until I can get settled down in Seattle. The nurse said since it’s not going to fix the root problem, so it’s highly unlikely that she will give me more.

I honestly just feel defeated. What am I supposed to do? I can’t get off of the birth control yet. We have to move. I don’t have anyone to take the weight off. So I’m just supposed to suffer through the seizures and panic attacks because there’s no way for me to “fix” the root of the problem right now? And how the fuck do you “fix” neurological issues that are unresponsive to medication?? How am I supposed to “fix” my endometriosis??? WHAT IS THE POINT OF RESCUE MEDICATIONS IF THE PEOPLE THAT NEED THEM CANT ACCESS THEM???

Experiences with Virginia Mason in Seattle?

I’m getting on the waitlist for Virginia Mason’s OBGYN clinic in Seattle. Has anyone had any experiences with them before? Any specific doctors to recommend- especially for diagnostic surgery?

Thank you!

I’m currently on feriza 1/20 (skipping placebo) and Mirena IUD.

It’s not good. Cramping, really bad acne, spotting, bladder issues, itching, swelling, worsening PMDD, etc.

My OB offered me Slynd, and I’m terrified to try it/ switch onto it.

Have you found anything that’s worked for you?
