What are my options?

I just purchased my second pair of eye glasses. This time the lenses are progressive. The issue is that I cannot see clearly with these glasses. The window of clear sight is so small it's impossible to see anything but a few words in a sentence. Everything below, above, and to both sides is not clear. I'm on a computer all day, it's been 4 days, and I cannot see. A $6 pair of readers is more effective than the $600 I just spent for check up and new glasses. I go back to the eye doctor today to see what adjustments can be made. If this doesn't help, do I have any options? Or am I just out of luck?

Question about flooring in bathroom

I need a little help understanding what's going on in one of my bathrooms. Recently my toilet cracked and dumped water all over the floor. (the toilet has been removed and temporarily capped) The tile around the tub and toilet is beginning to crack and there's some give when you push on the affected tiles. It's possible there has been a leak for a while, but I couldn't really tell anything from looking at the hole where the toilet used to be. The next step, I'm guessing, is to have someone tear up the floor to see what's going on under there. But I don't think that's a job for a tile person. I need someone to be able to repair whatever is going on under the floor. (this is a downstairs bathroom sitting on a slab). Do you guys have any idea who I should call at this point, and what my steps should be?

Need a little more advice on mystery roof/window leak

I am finally ready to fix the mystery leak which appears to be coming in through the roof or near two protruding windows on my second floor. It only leaks when there's a terrible storm with wind blowing at the angle that hits the side of the house with the two protruding windows. I need to ask if you think I should hire a leak inspector first to actually find where it's coming in (and some kind of idea what that's going to cost). I've had two attempts from a roofer to repair it without success. My thought was to hire some kind of siding/window repair with leak specialty. Does that sound right?

Leaky roof, need help!

I need some advice on a leaky roof. I have a two story house with a couple of windows that extend out from the roof. I can't tell exactly where the two leaks are coming from. I've had my roofer out, and he says it's coming in around those two windows. They supposedly fixed it, but that's not the case. When a bad storm blows the rain on that part of the roof, it still leaks into the attic and down into the house. Can you guys recommend who you would call for something like this (a roofer, contractor??). I live in Dunedin, FL.

Honey Nut Cheerios good choice or no?

I eat cereal nearly every morning. I add blueberries and walnuts. It's decent, but I wonder if there's a healthier choice that still tastes good? I can't do super hard crunchy like grapenuts. Is there a healthier choice with similar consistency that doesn't taste like cardboard?

Keeping lettuce fresh for 2 weeks, is it possible?

I need a head of lettuce to last for two weeks if that's possible. I can get a week out of it, but that's about all before it starts getting nasty. I currently just leave it sitting in the vegetable drawer of my fridge wrapped up in the plastic it comes in. Is there something I can do to extend it out, or is that just all you can get out of lettuce?

Have we identified a "center" to the Big Bang?

Please be kind; I'm not an astrophysicist...this is just a question I've wondered about. If everything is expanding away after the Big Bang, I'm guessing there must have been a center everything is racing away from. Do we have any idea where that might have been?
