A Era of Discovery is one of the most unique historical mods in the Hearts of Iron IV modding community. We are the first mod to delve into the first half of the 16th century from the year 1493-1560. We will mainly focus on the Habsburg-Valois rivalry during the years of the Italian wars and focus on the struggle for religious unity during the Protestant Reformation for example the French Wars of Religion. We will focus on four different start dates, our first start date will be from 1493 and then our last one will be from 1550-1560. Our mod will incorporate very realistic economy and colonization systems to ensure proper gameplay. We hope that you will all enjoy this mod and use it to learn more untold history from the early 1500’s. Happy Playing!

We need people who can help create skins for troops and ships and create focus trees and events. We also need people who know the history of Europe from 1493-1600 to help us remain historically accurate as possible. we especially need people who are good graphic designers that can make portraits and focus tree icons.
