Dear HRs, was I wrong?

Context: CHRA BS Psych Fresh Grad; attended multiple trainings in HR management

I applied for an HR position 2nd week last month. Had the initial and final interview the same day, while other applicants of the same position were asked to go home after the initial interview.

When I had my Final interview with the unit manager, na disclose sa akin that my application stood out. Kinabukasan nag background check na sila and had me do a psych test. After that I waited for 3 weeks para sa result ng application ko, every week nag ffollow-up ako if mayroon na result and laging sagot nila is 'under evaluation' pa.

Come yesterday, I received a text na they won't proceed with my application anymore. Out of all my rejected applications, dito ako pinakanahurt. Baka fault ko rin kasi masyado kong dinibdib na nag standout ako sa lahat ng applicants, so akala ko okay na.

Anyway, I still have pending applications naman and I don't put all of my eggs in one basket. Gusto ko lang malinawan where I went wrong? Nainis ba sila sa akin kasi every week ako nag ffollow-up?

Mon-Sat Sched

I just noticed, maybe this is an isolated case, but most of the companies nowadays operate until Saturday (or compressed workweek) Why is this?

Parang nakaka-discourage kasi walang work-life balance yung ganon set up. Tapos ang offer sayo is 20k hahaahahah dahil fresh grad ka.

Government to Private

To HR recruiters/ professionals, red flag ba (or like suspicious) if yung applicant galing sa government office tas nag aapply sa private?? And why??

To HR Recruiters

Hallo! Fresh grad here,

I have a pending application with a private company. Last week I was fortunate enough to have the initial and final interview in one day (yung iba kasing kasama ko applying for the position pinauwi na). Sinabihan rin ako ng head hr that my application stood out, pero shempre they still have to interview more candidates.

The following day after my interview, nag psychological assessment ako and nag background check na rin sila sa mga references ko.

When I asked them about the timeline ng pag aantay sa results, sabi nila I should give them until July 20 *which is today* to decide. So come afternoon today nag follow-up ako and sabi nila by the end of the week raw nila ako i-uupdate abt sa results.

Now, does this mean something? May napili na ba silang mas better na candidate than me? Or am I just overthinking it and I should wait until the end of the week?

Hindi ko kasi gamay yung waiting time ng application pag sa private company siahsja. Tenkyu in advance.

Ps. I know some of you will say na don't put all of my eggs in one basket and expect every application to be a rejection. Tbh, I do have multiple pending applications sadyang gusto ko talaga sa company nato and mejo nag hope ako :((

Does anyone know where can I get shoes like speedcat ballets and like the one in the photo in SIZE 43 or SIZE 12😔😔😔😔😔 pls im so desperate yall.

As a big feet girlie, it's really difficult for me to find chic and cute shoes. I always end up wearing crocs or outland sandals lmaooooo. For doll shoes I was successful enough to get a few pairs from atikota.

Genuine question for HR Recruiters/Talent Acquisition

I’m a fresh graduate with almost 2 years of experience as a Senior Crew member in a well-known café chain. During college, I completed my internship in HR at a reputable public service agency and was later absorbed into a paid internship program (I'm still affiliated with them and going on 4 months as HR intern with them!)

My HR experience is mostly generalist in nature. I had exposure to end-to-end recruitment, timekeeping, learning and development, employee engagement, and HR documentation. My main gap is in payroll, compensation, and benefits since I still don't have the clearance to handle those areas as an intern.

I am also a CHRA and have attended trainings on labor law, DOLE mandates, general HR management, and leadership development.
I’ve been applying for HR Staff, HR Assistant, HR Associate, and HR Officer positions. So far, I’ve reached the final interview stage several times, and the interviews usually seem to go well. However, I haven’t received an offer yet.

One thing I’m wondering about is my salary expectation. When asked, I usually say that my minimum acceptable salary is ₱18,000.

Question: is ₱18,000 a reasonable asking salary or am I milking myself too much?? I need a fresh perspective on this one :(( medyo na bbother na kasi ako huhu
