There is this lady that I know back home (I’m originally from Switzerland) who is really fascinated by fairies and Irish folklore, and she asked me if I could bring her a “fairy object” next time I’m home.

I don’t really know anything about fairies, so I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for shops, markets or places where I could find something to bring her. I’d like it to be something nice, not just a cheap souvenir. Thanks!

Hi everyone. I need some help with two problems related to sound effects, and I hope you can help me:

1. Resources for good sound effects. I do love using the Tronimal sound effects that come with the demo game, but no other sound effects I’ve downloaded satisfy me (or they sound horribly glitchy). Do you know any resources for quality sound effects that you’d recommend?

2. My game features lots of speaking characters, so I’d like to give them a speech sound effect. However, using the default textbox feature sounds so grating to the ear. Do you have any tips and tricks/resources that could help to make the text sound effect nice and pleasant?

Lars is a jerk. At least, he was for 85% of the show. But looking back, what was his worst crime? Being very insecure, lazy, maybe not the nicest?

Meanwhile, Sadie willingly trapped him and Steven on a deserted island for days, without food, without shelter, causing Lars to breakdown, purely for her selfish desires while under the guise of “I was trying to help you”. And when Lars rightfully confronts her about it, she hits him and pushes him down a cliff?? (accidentally, granted, but still).

Listen, I do love Sadie, but why are we acting like Lars is the fucked up one of the pair? lol

Edit: forgot to mention that time she put fire salt on that donut and gave it to Lars, which is malicious contamination and therefore a felony.

It’s really starting to bother me how so many pieces of acclaimed mlm media are written by women, or even better, straight women. Brokeback Mountain, Heated Rivalry, A Little Life, Yuri on Ice, Heartstopper… the list goes on.

Why aren’t we pushing for gay media written by gay men more? Why are we allowing straight authors to take space from gay voices and profiting off our stories? Why aren’t we being critical of straight women telling stories of gay oppression and trauma when they have absolutely no idea what it’s really like?

I do believe anyone is entitled to write about whatever they want, and shouldn’t “stick to their own”. But women taking up such a large share of gay men media is simply tiring. Because let’s be honest: it’s not about diversity and representation, it’s about satisfying their fantasies.

I’m two seasons deep in Abbott Elementary and I’m enjoying it a lot. And as much as I like Melissa, I can’t get over how ridiculously stereotypical her character is for a show that prides itself in nuanced portrayals and fighting negative stereotypes.

An Italian American with southern ancestry, hotheaded, loud, violent, rough, a foodie, the butt of every joke with her is having underworld connections and mafiosa tendencies. They seriously couldn’t put a little bit more thought into her character?

I hope she gets better in the later seasons, because it’s getting old very quickly.
