The Beast in Me

I haven't watched Claire Danes since her inaugural show in the 90’s, My So-Called Life. I thought she was great in that show. Which brings me to this, what happened?

I am on Episode 5 of this series and all that she has done in almost every scene is breathe heavy. Is it bad acting or directing or both? I think I could go on set and breathe heavy with big eyes. Once you notice it, it's quite disturbing & lame.

Does anyone else feel like you have to be an expert about products before purchasing?

I remember the days when I needed tires or something like that, I would open the yellow pages, find a store, go to the store and rely on tire store employees to provide good information and services. Easy peasy.

Now I feel like I have to understand everything about the products because store employees are using apps and have no real knowledge. Besides having to learn everything about tires and sizes and types etc, then you have to research the stores and on and on and on.

Technology was supposed to make life easier, and in ways it has (Google maps), but having to research the companies and the products and everything else is maddening. I can easily waste hours doing this, this is not enjoyable. I don't want to be a tire expert, the employees should be experts.

I don't want to be taken for a ride either.

Tires for the desert

They say tires last 3-5 years in a desert climate. I have Yokohamas that are 7 years old. They are hard and now driving like Fred Flintsone rock rollers. I need new tires.

My question is, if tires only last 3-5 years due to extreme heat and not wearing out can I get by with cheap tires? I'm tired of spending money and not getting my money's worth out of tires. I only have 15,000 miles on these tires.

Trump just called a reporter a stupid person while talking outside the Whitehouse.

This is why there hasn't been civility between humans since 2016.
