Chiaroscuro (Clair Obscur)

chiaroscuro (/kiˌɑːrəˈsk(y)ʊərəʊ/) is an artistic term defining the treatment or arrangement of light and shade in painting, drawing, or engraving. It refers specifically to the strong contrast between light and dark to create volume, modeling, or dramatic effects. (Oxford English Dictionary)

I forgot about this easter egg

If the English had the One Ring, you think they would have won the 100 years war.

Norwegian translation/equivalent of English language rhyme

When I was a teenager, I composed a nordlandsk translation of the old rhyme, «see a penny, pick it up, and all day long you’ll have good luck.»

It went like this: «se ei krone, hent ho straks, og hele dagen får du flaks.»

Is there an established Norwegian translation/equivalent? Does this one work? How could it be improved?

Autumn light

The sunlight in this game is magical. Here, the light of late afternoon passes through the autumn leaves above Amicia's head, causing them to glow.

Made it to the ackyduck

In my eternal quest to play the living sh*t out of the Plague Tale games, I have finally made it out of bounds in Chapter VII.

Also, did anyone else notice Melie had shoes on after they solved the water wheel puzzle? I don't remember her ever wearing shoes.

What do you think is the Norwegian equivalent of Leonard Cohen's famous anthem, "Hallelujah" (1984). I've heard "Mitt lille land" (1994) by Ole Paus come up, because of its abiding cultural relevance. In terms of musical style and lyrics, I would put "E du nord" (2012) by Kari Bremnes at the top of my list. Its 6/8 time, deeply poetic lyrics, and universal themes remind me so much of Cohen's masterpiece. While Cohen uses motifs from the Hebrew Bible, Bremnes's language and imagery are rooted in Northern Norway. I'm curious to hear what people think.
