STOP OVERWORKING & BURNING YOURSELVES UP.

Stop doing things outside the scope of your role. (READ YOUR ROLE ON THE PEOPLE WEBSITE.) Stop letting management gaslight, bully or guiltrip you into taking on responsibilities that aren’t yours. Stop doing “just one more thing.” And for the love of God, STOP STAYING LATE.

Apple will give you shit over time and attendance if you’re ONE MINUTE LATE, so why are you willingly giving them an extra 5, 10, 15+ minutes of your time after your shift?
When your shift ends, clock out and go home.

If something isn’t finished, management can figure out what to do about it. That is literally THEIR JOB. There are Leads and Managers who are paid significantly more than you specifically to deal with staffing, workload, priorities, and whatever is left unfinished.
It is not your responsibility to sacrifice your personal time because the store is understaffed or poorly managed.

You are burning yourselves out.

Understand this: doing more work does not automatically mean you’re going to get promoted or get more $$**.** You can work yourself into the ground, take on responsibilities above your role, stay late every day, and constantly prove how “valuable” you are and Apple will still replace you the moment you’re no longer useful to them. Or hire and outside candidate with the excuse that “you’re not ready.”
Meanwhile, YOU are the one paying the price.
Your sleep. Your mental health. Your physical health. Your relationships.Your peace.

There is nothing noble about being completely exhausted because you’re trying to compensate for management’s staffing or operational problems.

Do your job well. Stay within your role. Clock out when your shift ends. Go home.

Apple will survive without the extra 15 minutes you donated to them. Please, just STOP OVERWORKING.

DISCLAIMER : **this is NOT for people who NEED or WANT the overtime pay.‼**️

Shea’s “friends”

These young girls “friends” of Shea saying “he asked me to stay the night” and giggling like he is the BIGGEST price is the CRAZIEST thing ever.

Them acting like he’s the HOTTEST guy in town is INSANE. I’m convinced he might be some of these girls sugar daddy or something.

Working at Starbucks?

Just like the title says it,

I’m considering applying for a job at Starbucks for a Barista. I really need health insurance and I read that Starbucks has insurance even for part timers. (I’m used to working retail, worked at  retail for 9+ yrs)

so, how do YOU like working there? (Yes I’m sure it’s not perfect for some)

How’s the schedule? Benefits? Any insight you can give me would be great! Thanks!

Any ex-Apple employees doing independent tech support?

Now that I got fired from Apple, I’ve been thinking… what can they actually do if I start marketing myself as an ex-Apple employee offering tech support help?

Like helping people set up devices, troubleshoot issues, recover passwords/accounts, teach them how to actually use their tech, basically all the stuff we used to do at the Genius Bar or during Today at Apple sessions, giving people the kind of personalized experience we sometimes didn’t have the time (or desire) to do in-store.

I swear, during my time there I had SO many customers ask if I knew anyone who offered that kind of one-on-one support outside of Apple, and I always had to bite my tongue and not offer my own help on the side. But now that I’m no longer there and need money… I’m kinda like, why not?

I mean, what are they gonna do, fire me again? Lmao.

Any ex-Apple employees here doing something similar? Curious how it’s worked out for you?

Hey, looking for advice from managers or anyone who’s actually gone through this.

I’m a GB team member and just got put on a performance DC. The expectations feel kinda vague, but from what I understand it’s mainly about solid notes, being in the right place at the right time, hitting metrics, using Connect/Personalize, talking services, pretty much do everything my role entails, but it feels very up to interpretation.

I’m trying to approach this the smart way and basically “UNO reverse” it, like be overly prepared for every weekly check-in and keep my own records so there’s no room for anything to be misrepresented.

For anyone who’s been through this (or managed someone in it), what actually helps you pass? And how do you protect yourself / document things so it stays fair?
