Delight's benching reason

TRANSLATION:

In response to a question asking if the reason for 'Delight's' exclusion from the starting lineup was due to issues with adapting to the meta or call coordination, Coach Yoon clarified that it was not a problem with his skill level itself. Coach Yoon Seong-young stated, "I do not think there is a problem with the player 'Delight'," adding, "In a meta where the jungle and bottom lane are crucial, rather than individual skill, even a bad decision during a skirmish can become a good one if everyone works together, and the more people step up to the front, the better."

He explained, "It is true that they are superior in every aspect, but when I think of 'Delight,' I can only remember their initiating, and recently there have been many incidents in that regard," adding, "Since there are differences in coordination and thinking when the bottoms are grouped together, it was a decision made after considering various situations."

In addition, Director Yoon specifically detailed the strengths and weaknesses of the two players as well as their potential for future appearances. Director Yoon Seong-young stated, "The only area where I think 'Bluffing' is better is that he confidently steps forward to lighten the burden on other players when facing off or engaging in combat, even if it means dying himself." However, he added, "I have no disagreement that 'Delight' is much better, and since I believe he will sufficiently compensate for that soon, I think he will likely play in the near future."

-------------------

Guess the benching has something to do with messy shotcalls and coordination by both Kanavi & Delight bcoz Jungle-Supp synergy is always been important in a game especially in teamfights.

From my understanding (this can be wrong or right), it seems like when Kanavi shotcalls to go fight Delight always have second thought if its a good to follow until Kanavi dies in the end.

I'm glad HLE and Coach Homme were so transparent by this, its a good experience for Bluffing but also good for Delight to watch again how aggressive his jungler is from a distance.

FYI: Director Yoon is HOMME

HLE chances for playoffs

There two chances for HLE to secure playoffs:

  1. If they win 2 out of their 3 remaining matches especially the game againts KT, this is the most important one because they need to make sure KT remain at 5th place if ever they lose againts T1 & DK

  2. If KT remains winless, their 3 matches are againts T1 GenG & HLE

The team just needs to secure playoffs spot in able for them to finally qualify for Worlds.

Just keep on praying for our team and dont lose hope, just keep on believing and support them until the end.

T1 Coach Tom Press conference on the reasons to why Painter started over Oner, possibilities of other players being swapped in, if there was any conflict within the team

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIrOlhWBrRw

Q1: Overall thoughts on the match?

Coach Tom: In Games 2 and 3 today, I think the draft made things pretty difficult for us. In Game 2, we had a composition that we needed to snowball much more effectively, while in Game 3 there were a lot of things that went wrong, so overall I think the drafts made those games difficult.

Peyz: There were a lot of situations where we could have won, so it's disappointing that we lost.

Q2: What was disappointing about the drafts in Games 2 and 3?

Coach Tom: There were points in the composition where we could have snowballed the game, but even taking that into account, I thought the composition was somewhat difficult to execute. That's what I meant.

Q3: What did you think of Painter?

Coach Tom: Fundamentally, I think he helps fill in a lot of things, particularly with shotcalling and the basics. We'll have to play together more to really know, but I think he's a player with a lot of potential to develop.

Peyz: I think he stayed really focused and played well. It's disappointing that we couldn't get him a win in his debut.

Q3: Why was Painter called up?

Coach Tom: Regardless of the result of the match, after playing last week we had some time to practice. As we used that time to scrim, I felt there was room to try him out, and in my opinion, today was the earliest point where we could realistically do that.

Q4: Was there any conflict within the team?

Coach Tom: No, there was nothing like that at all.

Q5: Is there a possibility that Oner will return?

Coach Tom: Ultimately, we also needed to see how things would actually look in an official match, and we got to see that today. Going forward, we'll continue with scrims and things like that and then make our decision.

Q6: Could players from other roles also be called up?

Coach Tom: For official matches right now, I think having recent match experience is important. No matter who you call up or what you do, when you take match sharpness into consideration, I thought having the junglers compete for the position was the best direction for helping the team improve. That's why we made that decision.

Q7: What does the team need to improve?

Coach Tom:  Right before objectives, we needed to make clearer and more decisive plays based on the information we had. Especially in the final game today, I think we became somewhat indecisive in those situations.

We'll work on fixing those issues as well as our drafting, and we'll try to come back with a good performance next week.

Q8: What was the reason for making the change?

Coach Tom:  First and foremost, we made the change because we wanted to win. Painter also fills in a lot for the team in terms of shotcalling, and that was something we viewed very positively while watching our scrims.

I also thought that the players playing alongside him could improve by watching and listening to him, while maintaining the fundamentals and establishing better direction in-game.

There was also the aspect of motivation. For those various reasons, we decided to call him up.

Final comments:

Coach Tom: I'm very sorry that we weren't able to repay everyone with a win today. I also feel sorry for Painter, who made his debut today. We'll prepare well for our Home Ground matches next week and come back stronger.

Peyz: Starting with our next match, we'll work on the things we learned from today's loss and try to win.

SUCCESS RESULT FOR MOVING TEAMS

I can confidently say that the decision of Viper moving to BLG, Guma to HLE & T1 taking Peyz is resulting to a great success

VIPER - Out of 3 of them, Viper got the best result for moving team with him winning LPL Split 1, winning FST, winning LPL Split 2, first time qualifying to MSI and being with a team that has a chance to get Golden Road this year.

Yes, Viper might be called the weakest link of the team right now but he is also doing his job well as BLG's weakside for Bin & Knight to carry their game. And he did also played well in FST when Knight was struggling so he is still the biggest factor for BLG's successed.

GUMAYUSI - Gumayusi's moved to HLE from the start of the year is not smooth sailing as they ended up 10th place in LCK Cup but this team did not give up and used all their long rest to create a synergy that made them a strong team for LCK 1st Split ending as 1st seed and also the first team to qualify for MSI. Yes, this team is still aint winning anything yet but HLE being qualified to MSI ever since it joins LCK is already a milestone for this team after so many years of disappointing result.

Gumayusi may not be the main carry of the team but his job being known as the best weakside adc player has been utilized properly by the team for Zeus, Kanavi and Zeka to unleashed their full potential to carry a game by getting all the resources they need and for Delight to be more valuable around the map.

PEYZ - Peyz has been known as a promising adc ever since he joined GenG's lineup in 2023 and he is proving himself again today that he is indeed rightfully chosen by Keria to be his new adc showing his good performance by carrying most of the games and being an aggressive adc that T1 needed. With Doran being known as the best weakside top laner, choosing a hypercarry like Peyz is really great addition for the lineup of T1 this year. Even if T1 aint winning anything yet this year (exc for Kespa last year) but I know this team will continue to be a monster team alongside GenG & HLE and maybe, win another Worlds title with Peyz 😉

This is just my observation of what I think Viper, Gumayusi & Peyz has been doing on their respective teams and I believe this moves has nothing but great to BLG HLE and T1 and I want nothing but the best for this three teams and may the best team win in MSI 🔥

HLE Arena without Delight

Homme will not ragebait me on this one, if they will play Bluffing tomorrow againts NS I will understand go ahead let the kid experience tier 1 he deserve it afterall and he played really well againts BFX too BUT if I dont see Delight play next week I will go on war mode and no one can calm me because tf are they doing when RTM is around the corner and next week is the last week for Round 2 as well.

What they are doing is very risky for the team's chemistry with Delight esp on the bot lane, I see this same scenario last year and I dont like it at all so I refused to see it again this year.

This is not hating on Bluffing, the kid is innocent and dont deserve that, this is about the coaches.

Why is Chovy not in the National Team? Here is the answer:

Based on this article:

In response to an inquiry from OSEN regarding the exclusion of prominent players considered for inclusion, the Korea eSports Association explained the background of the exclusion, stating, "Following interviews, some individuals subject to mandatory athletic service were excluded from the list of candidates due to injury treatment and the faithful fulfillment of their mandatory service."

So players like Ruler, Chovy and Kanavi who is currently doing their mandatory service will be focusing on that hence they are excluded from the list while Zeus and Keria already started theirs last years hence they are qualified to be pick this year's Asian Games.

Edit: In Chovy's case, he is injured (hip injury) hence he himself opted out to join the lineup, hope he gets well soon

The vague post is killing me and a post also says the trade is from Top 3 LCK teams, it seems that the Top 3 teams is before this day standings so if its yesterday standing then the Top 3 are KT HLE T1 & GENG (t1 geng are both in 3rd spot yesterday)
