E26 LED Bulbs that will dim smoothly?

I'm trying to finally find some LED bulbs (E26) for on-stage practicals that will actually dim smoothly from 0-100% without ugly stepped dimming, or a jump to/from 40%.

Am I just dreaming, or does something like this exist?

Connecting to the Coax input

I have a QN65Q6FNA tv that has a coaxial input on the back that I’d love to connect my old Atari 2600 to.

The problem I’m having is there doesn’t seem to be any way to select it as an input on the TV itself. My cable box connects via HDMI, so it’s not being taken up by the Cable input.

Am I missing something?

Snowfall Effect Pixel Strips

I'm looking at putting together a rig of about 10 strips/tubes of addressable pixel tape that will be hung vertically from a grid (about 32'x20', "randomly" distributed) to produce a snowfall type effect, among other things.

I'm looking at use the ENTTEC 8PXA60-RGBW-12V with a Pixelator Mini to control them. The problem is that the data run is apparently limited to 3m over the standard cable, so the only other option I have to increase the cost of the rig by almost $600 to add Plink injectors at each strip.

Is this how you would do it? Is there another option that makes more sense to you?

I'd love to hear people's thoughts.

Product recommendation for rubber axe head

I’m planning on making a prop fire axe for an upcoming production. The handle will be cast from a combo of liquid plastic and reinforced expanding foam, but I want the head to be rubber/silicone tinted silver.

I don’t want it floppy, just soft enough that it won’t injure an actor. I was thinking 40-60 shore would probably do the trick, but I’m trying to settle on a good product that will get me this as well as being able to be effectively colored and able to take paint after.

Any recommendations?

Good, real fried chicken in Salem?

I want a restaurant that sells GOOD fried chicken. Not broasted chicken. Not fast food. Not a grocery store, gas station or convenience store, and not chicken strips.

I am looking for a REAL fried chicken dinner. Crispy fried chicken with appropriate sides that you can sit down and eat off of a plate.

Is there any such thing in Salem, because I’m coming up dry.

Cameo 4 Pro incredibly difficult to weed vinyl

So, I've been doing a lot of cutting recently. I mix of Oracal 651, 631 and some random crap I've had lying around.

I've been noticing that it has been very difficult to weed. Basically I have to work carefully along the edge pushing the vinyl away from the cut to get it started and even then I usually end up tearing or lifting what I want to keep.

I've been trying so many different setting for the Auto Blade. I've done from default force up to 20, Speed from 1 to 5, 1 to 5 passes and depth from 1 to 10 and NONE of them provide a result that is reasonable to weed. I even put in a brand new auto blade to see if the other was wearing out, and it didn't do anything

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it seems like for large block letters I shouldn't have to do much than help it around tight corners, and I've been spending hours trying to get a few 12x18 large text blocks weeded.

Any advice on what I should be doing to make the weeding process tolerable?

Transfer to New Lighting Console

So, we just had the money donated to acquire a new ETC Ion XE20 12K to replace our old Element (V1).

My primary question is… if I bring my primary show file template with all my patching across will it work since they both run EOS, or are there differences I need to take into consideration to make it work?

I would be planning to keep our existing DMX universes as 1 and 2 on the new board, so I’m hoping the channels and patching would translate without have to repatch everything.

Is something happening in salem today? Traffic is the worst I’ve ever seen.

West side, east side, south, north… it’s backed up and slow and nasty. Was there an event or something?

So… I’m REALLY wanting to expand my theater’s DMX options. With a whisper of a chance air a new console that can handle more that 1024 DMX addresses I’d love to install a DMX over Ethernet system to handle it.

I’d love recommendations for hardware that you’ve had good luck with for making the systems work, preferably something that can be added into my existing 2 universes to expand rather than simply replace, but I’m open to a full overhaul if that’s the best option.

Thanks!
