I just applied for my salary differential. New hire. I followed the directions on HR Connect for what my prior employer needed to include in letter, so no worries there.

Just curious how long it took any of you to get correct pay. 2 months? 3?

I saw another comment suggest just staying on the phone with HR for hours if by month 3 I don't get my appropriate pay.

I've been at this for about a month now. I put on a t shirt today and it felt snug. Immediately could feel myself spiraling: I need to walk more, I need to get back to XYZ. I am in the middle of listening to the IE audiobook. I'm not seeing an IE coach but do see a Jungian psychoanalyst.

I enjoy cooking and eating again, though, and am just so much happier.

Accepting this body, where it just happens to be today, has been hard sometimes. Any advice for this newbie? Many thanks! 🙏🏽❤️‍🔥

Hi! New hire in the DOE. Years of experience in independent schools.

Got my Welcome email from HR in early July but only got my ID and file #s. I understand we were supposed to get our emails 72 hours after that message.

I have called the HR Help Desk 3x and gotten 3 different answers. The most recent is that I will have to call HR Help Desk in late August/just before the New Teacher Week sessions begin. (All the emails about the New Teacher Week state that we must have access to our DOE emails in order to be able to participate in sessions.)

Is anyone else dealing with this? Any other guidance given? Are these people nervous about giving new hires access to their accounts before the school year begins? It is bizarre! lol

I just want to make sure I can register for my salary scale adjustment, health benefits, etc. Sigh...
