Quick question about types of sub, Does a racetrack subwoofer 6"inch by 9inch... the same as 8 inch round sub???. i dont get it in terms of mass displacement. and lets say they are the same watts and specs just the shape is different

So this is from a broken boombox, i just hooked the sub to make it still usable. and im experiencing some kind of slight distortion, and dont know if its the amp or the sub or even the mic. dont even know watts of the sub, just the amp at 600 watts tpa3255 dual. the distortion occurs at 80%vol up
