A quick update on the boombox i build. Probably atleast not as ugly as before i think

The amp i use is conbination of TPA3116 D2 for the stereo and CS8683H for the subwoofer. Batteries are 18650 2000mah in 6s3p config.

Total of 11 drivers 4 passive radiators 4 tweeters 2 mids 1 sub

The mids are probably isolated. And sub was only doing the passive

Probably not a good designer and probably ugly looking boombox for now. yet i plan to cover them with fresh leather the next time i upgraded the batteries to 32670 at 6s2p config

So to tell you the specs of the Boombox

boombox includes a 200 watt 4 ohm 8 inch subwoofer paired with 4pcs of 6.5 inch passive radiator and 2pcs of 25 watts 4 inch midrange for upper bass and lower treble and a 25 watt tweeter for highs

Info (fr =Frequency response)

Subwoofer HK 200 watt (29hertz fr) (box tune 20 liter loosely filled polyfill to 30 hertz ) 4 ohms

Midrange local 25watt RMS, rubber surround (60hertz fr) (tuned to 120-2khz) 4ohms

Tweeter, HK 25 watt RMS (1.2khz fr) (tuned to 2khz-10khz) 4 ohms

Amplifier MODIFIED TPA3116+CS8683H Class D

Tpa3116d2 100 watts (50x2) for stereo midrange and crossover 10uf NP capacitor tweeter

Expected result 4 ohm load = 50 watts / actual result 46watt RMS

CS8683H 150 watt subwoofer amplifier customized voltage rail booster to 36 volt paired caps at 20000uf

Expected result 4 ohm load = 150 watts / actual result 134watt RMS

Battery design 6s 3p

2000mah 18650 highdrain 15 amp continuous discharge * 18pcs and BMS 24volt 6s 40 amp

24 Volt main rail * 40amps theoretical power / 36 volt boosted rail * 10 amps paired with 20000uf capacitor and NTC thermistor 5d25

Actual power 300 watts / theoretical power 400-500 watts

total capacity = 6000 mah (1-2day full volume)

Passive and Vent design

Subwoofer vent = PR

Passive Radiator 160mm * 4pcs

theorectical analysis over time = wobbling due to unbalanced internal pressure (polyfill and amp module

Solution = Linear air vent reducer to 60mm * 4pcs - using stiff plastic melamine plate.

Box design Rectangular 490mm length(left to right) / 200mm height + 20mm rubber stand / 96 mm width(back to front)

9mm marineplywood (resonance stabilized by looselyfilled polyfill

total volume = 23 liters

internal module volume = 4 liters + 1/2 gram polyfill

total space subwoofer volume = 19liter

Midrange vent = ported baffled

Using PVC pipe (blue) connected to modified baffle isolated to subwoofer.

1/2 inch ported design choked with polyfill to reduce distortion in bass as well as customizable knob for bass..

tweeter is isolated open baffle (just screwed in fronthole groove.

Total value plus replacing. 120+ dollars estimated

Where can i find this, is it limited edition? Or is it just custom after bought?

The aluminum Heatsink is probably going to cool the chip longer than the black one on the left

The dimensions of the sink was 5.2cm by 4.0cm by 1.8cm

The smol one is like 3 by 2 by 1cm

The Amplifier is going to be enclosed in the inside an isolated box (subwooferbox)so i will be using a much larger heatsink rather than the stock

To address DIY'ers, since dual TPA3116d2 gets hot when push to its limits ill only be using stereo than the subwoofer channel since this is a 2.1 build upgrade for the past fake 3116d2 chip

So i soldered this 2pcs 10000uf on my amp, is it overkill, i havent tested it yet.

Its just 200 watt amp paired with a weak voltage boost for subwoofer only

Any ideas what can go wrong with this???

Boombox that cost a fraction of boombox 4 a self build tuned at 30 hertz equipped with a Harman kardon 200 watt subwoofer, and a 50 watt midrange, a 10 watt tweeter, and a 6s3p bms 40amp max.

At only 50 bucks??. Well the wood comes free from construction site now covered with black leather.

Those two holes you see in front is isolated for midrange only, the 8 inch subwoofer is paired with 4pcs of 160mm passive radiator.

Eqiupment used is sandpaper and knife carver so the rest comes with screwdrivers.

So Cs867 chip ?? I replaced it with a spare And this thing is equipped with dual chip one for mono sub and one for stereo in bluetooth at 24 volt

So i got this amp for the sub rated for 300 watts at 4 ohm load, now i tried to hook to 2 ohms and the amp is barely hanging.. at 80 degrees probably gonna need some amp for this!!

The sub is customized by the physical structure having a new loose spyder thats why excursions are making the sub bloat at 16 hertz

Now for the amp since the sub is designed for 600 rms. Kinda wanna know any cheap sub amp even if had no brand in it

So this is from a broken boombox, i just hooked the sub to make it still usable. and im experiencing some kind of slight distortion, and dont know if its the amp or the sub or even the mic. dont even know watts of the sub, just the amp at 600 watts tpa3255 dual. the distortion occurs at 80%vol up
