Just wondering, where and how to listen.

The DESHIBO WV-601 is a portable passive aluminium magnetic loop antenna designed for radio amateurs and broadband reception enthusiasts.
It offers full reception coverage from 0 to 999 MHz and transmits up to 10W on the 2m and 70cm bands.

I want to use it for transmitting. Has anyone done that before?

Ik ga binnenkort mijn familie bezoeken in Griekenland en ik kom langs een paar van de grootste steden van het land: Athene, Thessaloniki en Ioannina. Meestal huur ik een auto en ik dacht eraan om mijn CB-radio (27 MHz) mee te nemen met een antenne op het dak.

Ik vroeg me af of er tegenwoordig nog veel CB-radioactiviteit is in Griekenland, behalve bij vrachtwagenchauffeurs. Is er nog steeds een actieve CB-community of is het vooral stil? Ik ben bekend met kanaal 11.

I’ll be visiting my family in Greece soon and will be passing through some of the country’s largest cities: Athens, Thessaloniki and Ioannina. I usually rent a car and I was thinking of bringing my CB radio (27 MHz) with a roof-mounted antenna.

I was wondering if there’s much CB radio activity in Greece these days, apart from truck drivers. Is there still an active CB community, or is it mostly quiet?

The upcoming 2026 World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19. Most matches will be played in the evening or at night for us here in Europe, which is of course great for shortwave listening.

Do you happen to know which stations will broadcast the matches on shortwave so that I can try to receive those signals? Could you help me with this? I thought WRMI, Radio Miami International, is one of them.

I am fond of SW radios. I own several TecSuns (e.g., PL-368, S-2200), the Sangean ATS-909x2, Amnvolt V4, etc. They all have their pros and cons and I like them all. I have seen several reviews of the Mlite880, and it really looks nice. Has anyone compared them?
