Being an extrovert is such a superpower in public accounting

This is common knowledge everywhere in corporate but some people choose accounting early in school picturing an introverted bookkeeping job, but get shoved into PA.

There’s no better skill to develop and train than likability. You can get away with so much if you’re not annoying, you’re a good conversationalist, and you’re overwhelmingly polite. You don’t even need to be funny or particularly charming. Just a fun presence to be around. Greet all your coworkers.

Also introduce yourself to new people as early as possible. It’s so awkward when you neglect to formally introduce yourself but occasionally bump into that person- and every additional time you nod at them in passing, it makes the time when you finally introduce yourself that much more painful

Edit: extrovert / introvert is probably not the most accurate distinction for what I’m trying to describe. See replies

Can the $4,000 WITB people post swings please

I have never met someone on course with one of yalls mythical 14-way cart bag filled with shiny all-one-brand new clubs. I have no idea if these are hacktivities or maybe these players are way better than the people I play with on course.

Literally almost every golfer I know has the same looking setup, stand bag with a towel hanging off, everything is 3-5 years old, maybe 5-7 year old irons, putter is a wildcard. Who on earth are you GTS2 D/3/5/7 T350 5-G Vokeys Phantom people? Are you guys just at clubs I couldn’t dream of?

Any instinct on this rattle? Very pronounced when you’re in the cabin, very plastic-y, sounds like coming from a foot deep “through” the speedometer

I know I’m too close / falling back / heel strike

That’s just this clip though. I was toeing it all day and tried to move closer.

Anyway I think I am insanely “stuck” (idk the terminology) but I don’t know how to fix it.

Edit: I’ve struggled with being OTT for years. This is one of the first videos I’ve ever seen from myself with an in/out path.

I took some advice and stopped trying to manually shallow the club, and instead focus on weight shift, now I’m OTT and casting

See my swing before in my profile. I kinda liked it better

Scotty Cameron blade vs $115 Cleveland blade from amazon

What is the difference for a scratch ish level of player? Even if most people say they’re pretty much the same, do people feel more confident over a Scotty? Is it a better feel? Is it truly just about the brand? I play a mallet and hate my Cleveland blade but for some reason every time I hold a Newport I love it. Influence / deinfluence me.

I know it’s the Indian not the arrow, but I feel like lots of people anecdotally feel improvement after upgrading, whether that’s placebo, increased motivation to practice putting, or that there wasn’t actually improvement. What’s your story?
