Rostering??

Hi I’m a 20f full time uni student based in New Zealand. so before everything, I’m going to give a timeline -

27th August - hired as casual online picker
15th November - changed to parttime (25.5h Thu-sat 6am to 2:30pm)
Somewhere in Febuary - changed timings and wanted to switch days but the manager sent me to someone else (mind you I did say that a month before changing them that I’d have to since uni is starting) and they changed it to Thu-fri 9:30am to 6pm and Saturday 6-2:30
15th may - I went and spoke to store manager instead of my direct supervisor because they’re were doing shitand kinda ignore any and all requests I put through and change timings to 1:30pm-10pm

Now my question is that I’d like to reduce my hours because it’s becoming beyond exhausting as a 20y full time uni student to work 8.5h shifts doing JUST online picking (I’m multiskilled btw). And also very nauseating lol. How do I go about this? I currently have an offer to work at Maccas too so I could either:
a) leave woolies and join Maccas parttime (they’re way more flexible with rostering)
b) reduce woolies hours to 15h a week (5h/day) instead and keep Maccas at 5-10h/ week
c) spread out my work hours (5h and five days a week) and leave Maccas

I know this is a bit of a long post but it would help me a lot. Thanks

McDonald’s??

Hi. I got an offer from McDonald’s recently to join as a crew member but they have no set hours. Does anyone have any experience working at one? What are the hours like? What’s the workload like? Do you recommend or should I run? (Specifically the one by Westfield)

Female friends??

Hiya!! I’m f19 studying at UC currently and would love to make some friends here! I didn’t grow up here so it’s super hard to get into groups. I don’t drink or smoke lol and didn’t realize how much that mattered for socializing here. I’m willing to make friends of any age too!

Career advice - teachers

Hii, I’m F20 and doing my second year BSc in psychological sciences with neurology and statistics as my minors. I know I DONT want to go into clinical (too much work and I doubt I can keep good grades and do the extra curricular), so I was wondering if teaching is a good option. I did volunteer at a daycare for 2 months once and really loved working with the kids. I know there’s one year of masters to do for it. Is there any early year education teacher who can share their experience with me in Christchurch? How’s the job market and workload and pay (if you’re comfortable sharing)?

Scooter or bike?

Hi, I’m F20 and so confused between what I should buy. I live in New Zealand where I can drive a moped on a car license (scooters that are 50cc and below) or I could get a bike license and drive a proper one. I’m currently working two jobs and I don’t have a car or scooter (to save up for whatever it is I want). Should I get a temporary scooter to help with commute or should I invest into a proper bike? (3k for a proper scooter with gear or 8-10k for a proper bike with gear)
