Caught jorkin

You get caught jorkin it in a customers drive way ONE time and bam. Negative reviews. Jesus Christ, I dropped their order off first. It's not like I asked them to come sit on their porch and watch. The most frustrating part is that that ALSO gave me another $5.43 tip when they left the 4 star.

The 2 star though... Just some chick who was mad I walked in the wrong door to drop her food off because she wasn't supposed to be ordering door dash and I just happened to run into her boss who then proceeded to fire her after. But her note was vague af and there was about 36 entrances to the building. I was one door off from where she said to drop off and honestly even knowing that I couldn't tell the difference 🤷🏻‍♂️

Out of their **** minds

So, on my way home, wrapping up the night. Figured ide take one more short distance DD that was at least somewhat on the way.

I got one that was a pick up on the road I was already going to be driving on anyway from a pretty respectable and quick McDonald's and then deliver it further down the road to a home that was literally on my way also. It was only $3 so at best this means the person might have tipped 50 cents but I'm pretty sure that's just the pay doordash was giving me because of the distance between me and the restaurant initially when I got the order.

This woman texts me right after asking me if I could deliver it to her new address instead because she left the old one by accident. I checked the distance. The original delivery was just under 1.7 miles, but it was in the direction towards my home also. The new address was 16+ miles the other direction, away from my home, through heavy construction during morning rush hour, over a toll bridge and across state lines.

Remove the construction and that's still a 40 minute drive just because of the traffic at this time of day. I told her no, I couldn't do that. I didn't explain further that I want doing all of that for 3$ but honestly I probably wouldn't have done it for less than 50 bare minimum. But instead I just politely told her the difference and she came back with an outrageous response. Guess who's order just happened to take long enough for me to unassign? I hope she gets her food and it's cold and disgusting, but I promise she won't be getting a delivery from me, ever.

Restaurants accountability

I'm curious if anyone happens to know if and/or restaurants are held accountable for their staff, responsiveness, disrespectful behaviors and over all poor performance in regards to their responsibility to doordash deliveries.

For example, if I get a door dash order to a place that I'm 13 minutes away from.. that means they've got the order 13 minutes before I get there. So, when I show up, they shouldn't be saying huh? Doordash we ain't got no doordash orders sorry. Then I pull up to the window and they say pft we ain't had no doordash orders. Then she shuts the window. I wait a sec there like wtf.

then i hear them on the mic with another doordash person coming through and her going " UGHHHH " before turning the mic back on and saying pull around to the second window. Opening the window and saying " out machine wasnt printing the orders. It's gon be about 35 minutes" to me... for two chicken sandwiches ....

I wait ahead of the line, waiting the 10 minutes required for the unassign button and see 6 cars filter in and out getting their orders while me and the other doordash guy sat pulled up front with no service.

This is such a common theme I'm not even surprised anymore.

Why are restaurants allowed to treat doordash orders as second or third priority when our orders come through long before new customers who are clearly making their order as they arrive?

AR compliance

Last week I was at 97% AR. I've learned a bit since then from this sub and now I'm at 57%.

Its made me have more down time but make the same if not more money in the overall time though.

If my math is right, I should be able to drop down to about 30% before I lost platinum and I'm willing to be there 😅

My first week as a dasher

Is this pretty good for my first week?

Also the 96% in " on-time " were because the first two days I dashed there was a severe cell data issue in my area and I kept losing service and couldn't find the location to the 2nd dash on a two order run 4 different times. Have not had a single late delivery since then.

CHΛOTIC FEEDBΛCK - Self Promotion

I wanted to share my web serial, Chaotic Feedback - Daxos Spiraling,
which just passed a major milestone on Royal Road.

If you’re tired of the usual teenage protagonists who instantly master magic because they're the "chosen one," you might find Daxos a breath of fresh air. Daxos is an Army Vet, A Father and Sr. warehouse supervisor who gets caught in a multiverse-wide system collapse. He doesn't want to play the hero, he doesn't want to build a kingdom—he just wants to rescue his son, Jack, who is trapped in a time-frozen stasis void.

Here is the pitch:

  • Logistics & Physics Over Standard Spells: Because of his 10 years of active duty military service (aviation operations and mechanics), Daxos treats magic like a data stream and an engine. When he secures a back-door Command Line Interface (CLI) to the system, he doesn't just cast spells—he writes scripts. He builds a telekinetic particle accelerator out of a blighted mace and flying daggers, treats monster harvesting like breaking down damaged warehouse pallets, and approaches volatile boss cores like unexploded ordnance (UXO).
  • The "Anvil" Subversion: Bypassing the standard GUI forces the sterile system interface to wake up. The result is a snarky, self-aware internal co-pilot named ANVIL, bound to him by mutually assured destruction.
  • Real Stakes and Permanent Consequences: The system isn't a game. The power scaling is brutal. Daxos suffers massive "input lag" when his mind outpaces his physical body, and his squad pays for their victories in blood. We're talking permanent scars, severed limbs, and a protagonist who has to figure out how to rebuild a broken team without standard fantasy plot armor.
  • The Vibe: Think Dungeon Crawler Carl style cynicism meets the visceral, hard-hitting tactical combat momentum of classic R.A. Salvatore dark fantasy.

I’ve put a massive amount of effort into custom HTML/CSS visuals for the system prompts on the platform, and I’m commissions-deep into character art to bring the squad to life.

Here is the main character, Daxos.

Check out the main cast art below! (From left to right: Rian the Battle-Mage, Vaelin the Void-Mage (Arcane Sapper) , and Borek the Vanguard Knight).

I'd love to hear what you guys think about a protagonist who uses an active duty, spreadsheet-driven mindset to hack a fantasy world!

** Addition from mod suggestion **

I wrote Daxos based pretty heavily on my self. So, I am also a 10 yr army vet and father of one.
I'm also a warehouse supervisor.

** Ai usage **
Some of the art is created by AI , Some of it is work I commissioned. Currently shown here only the Vaelin image is AI generated. I create the designs I want through Ai then submit them to my artist who creates what I'm asking for based off these images.

No Ai writing -
As far as writing, A.I didn't help write the story at all. You should find it extremely obvious, very quickly that A.I didnt write this story.

Coding:
I did use Ai multiple times on some of the more complex HTML/CSS codes due to how much RR likes to sanitize code and I couldn't figure out a way to make it work the way that I wanted.
I could have figured it out my self, but it seems like a waste of time when AI could resolve the issue in 1.3 seconds.

Any other questions or concerns, Please let me know!

Creative inspiration

I'm still somewhat new to Sleep Token. But I've been listening to them somewhat non stop for about 2 months now. I can appreciate all of their music, but there's only about 11 I keep on rotation.

However, These 11 Songs I've been listening to on a rotation with a handful of other artists while I work on writing my books. I've probably Written around 100k words or better listening to their music. It's the way their "slow-burn" dynamics, rhythmic pacing, and emotional depth engage the brain's focus centers. The contrast of soft, ambient melodies and heavy breakdowns acts as a grounding background that prevents distraction and triggers creative flow. I've already published the first 41 chapters of the book online and Its actually doing surprisingly well for a first time, no named author so I think I owe some thanks for Sleep Token helping keep my brain wired to keep writing.

How many others find themself creating more art while listening to theirs?
