Had to say goodbye to my walking buddy

Sadly old age caught with our beautiful Pip. She conquered many Wainwrights with us. Walking won’t be the same without her.

Had to say goodbye to Pip yesterday

May have to step away from this group for a while. Pip was almost 16 but sadly old age caught up with her. She brought so much joy into our lives. I know it will get better slowly but I miss her so much

Dog with IBD

Our 15 year old Springer has possibly got IBD. She has been prescribed steroids. At the moment all she’s eating is chicken. I stew chicken portions for her. Does anybody know if minced chicken has a higher fat content? Can anyone suggest a diet that works? I’ve seen a lot on line but don’t know what to try.

A door with many stories

The Feathers Hotel Ludlow dating from the 1600’s. Was once the home of Reece Jones a Pembrokeshire Attorney. The lock plate bears his initial.

Checked up on this door

A few weeks ago someone posted this building in Ludlow. I said I’d have a look for it when I visited. Well here it is and unfortunately it’s still looking derelict. Such a shame, there are so many beautiful buildings in Ludlow, this must have a lot of history.

Just posting this because our beautiful 15 year old Springer Pip looks like a pup, such is the joy that Springers bring to our lives.

We’re going on a Caribbean cruise in 2028 on Regent of the seas. Had an email to say we need to book dinner reservations and shore excursions in 2027 at 1am our time. Ok so we’ll go to bed late that night. Just wondering if anyone else has done this. How do you know which restaurants to book if you’ve never cruised with them before? Do you get a lot of advanced notice and information on excursions available.

This is only our 3rd cruise and really excited about it but would appreciate some helpful comments from all you experienced travellers out there. Thanks
