Was tun bei sensorischer Überlastung?

Jedenfalls was macht ihr denn in solchen Situationen???

Aber Ich war Grundschülerin, mittlerweile also angemessen alt I guess:-) )

People who moved to Paris — please tell me it doesn’t get less magical🥹💔

I love paris more than any of you can imagine😭❤️

I own five paris-related tops, two pairs of paris-related earrings, three paris-related bracelets, two paris-related charms, two miniature eiffel towers, my phone background is paris-based, my phone's language is set to french (I've LOVED the french language even before I loved paris!), my room is mostly paris-based, and MY LIFE IS PARIS BASED!!

I've always dreamed of going to paris one day, I love this city so much oh my gosh.
last week was my first time in paris and OH MY F\*ING GOSH I LOVE IT SO MUCH. people said I'd be disappointed, but hell no, I'm coming back🥹❤️ I am DEFINETELY coming back! my family's already planning the next trip🤭 and I'm 17 so it's not much longer till I get to live my own life, I wanna study AND live in paris!

yesterday we arrived back in my home country and today a thought has hit me, a thought that I never would've expected to even have — not before and not during the trip — but eventually it got to me:,)

this was my only time that I'll see paris for the first time ever.

I'll never be in paris for the first time again.😭

people who moved there, do you ever get this thought? do you guys miss your first time in paris sometimes? and has your love for the city gotten less? I don't ever want my love for paris to get less😭❤️

can support teachers meet former students in private?

I have autism, and I really struggled with speaking in public and motor skills in elementary school.

Back then, my school's support teacher had worked with me and my family. She helped me a lot throughout elementary school, but I never saw her again after fourth grade.

I’ve been thinking about contacting her for a long time, I want to thank her anyway. But do you think it'd be weird if I also asked if she’d like to meet up for coffee sometime?

(It’s been almost 10 years)

autistic people: would I be the asshole for posting this?

Heyo.
In advance: I'd like to mention that I'm asking specifically the neurodivergent people, not the neurotypicals. Anyways, let's get to the point:

so there's this trio in my class. Let's just call them Matt, Leah, and Tracy. I've been really good friends with two of them (Matt and Tracy) for quite a while now, we've even met up in private. Anyways I started noticing they're acting "weird" towards me, so I started suspecting that they're talking behind my back, since I already knew their friend Leah was talking shit about me. The other day a girl from another class came up to me and confirmed my assumptions. She told me they had been talking behind my back A LOT, like A LOT to the point that I actually would assume their whole friendship with me was „fake“ and just for their entertainment. And they wouldn't stop, not even after admonitions from different people (is admonitions the right word? no idea, english isn't my first language😭)

They had been making fun of the way I walk. I've been walking this way since my childhood, I'll get to the point and tell you my story (long text incoming, SORRY)

Since I have been a child, I've shown signs of autism, but my parents were (and still are) striiiictly against therapy and diagnosis.

It started in kindergarten with picky eating, motor difficulties, and a strange way to walk(walking on my tiptoes).

Then came a panic-inducing fear of speaking in elementary school. At that point, my elementary school teachers also realized that I really NEEDED help and told my parents. But of course my oarents went "My child is never going to therapy!!"💀 The help was so urgently needed though, that we ultimately HAD to at least include the support teacher at my school(idk the english word again😭 but like, a pedagoge who works with underdeveloped or disabled kids).

Of course, a support teacher can’t make any diagnoses, I'm just saying… the fact that she worked with us just shows that something really IS going on with me, doesn’t it?

Then, in the later years of elementary school, either this support teacher or one of my regular teachers (I don’t know) noticed that I was making strange movements that they had labeled as “tics” back then—I’m sure that’s just stimming! well, it's definitely not tics.

I’m not going to describe every single symptom in detail now, but things like special interests and routines also became part of my daily life as I reached teenage—and apart from my fear of speaking, I still have everything I had as a child. Sooner or later, I figured out on my own that it might be autism.

When I was 12 I even went to therapy for completely different reasons and yet the therapists had assumed I was autistic! I only went to therapy for a few months tho and I've never gotten a diagnosis since my 12 year old ahh refused to answer questions with the truth in front of my parents..:')

So now I'm 17 and I still don't have my diagnosis, since my parents are still the way they were before..and I kinda don't dare to talk to them about my suspicion.

So now — you gotta know: Matt, Tracy and Leah are SUPER woke people. They've always been standing up for minorities. They even dumped a really good friend of theirs after finding out he had made homophobic and racist jokes🙂‍↕️ These 3 would NEVER support ableism.
I'd like to let them know that I'm not "clumsy" or just unable to walk with platforms, but (most probably) motor-impaired, and that what their doing goes against their own morals.

Also they're all around 18..aren't we old enough to know ableism isn't cool?😭

I've been thinking of blocking EVERYONE ELSE from viewing my instagram Story, so only the three of them see it — cause I absolutely do not support self-diagnosing and I don't js walk around telling everybody "oh yeah I'm autistic" without a diagnosis.
All I want is for them to see!

So this is what I've been wanting to post:

"Hey there:) This doesn’t apply to many of you, but I wanted to bring it up anyway for certain people, because I’ve been noticing this more and more (especially in recent months). THE WAY I WALK isn’t because of my heels or any kind of clumsiness or anything like that. I really don’t want to go into detail, but I have a motor impairment that, among other things, causes me to walk the way I do—and, strangely enough, that has bothered the people around me more than it has bothered me💀

I know how many people find it super super funny to see me walk like this, but I love my heels. They’ve become a permanent part of my style, and I’ve never let anything stop me from expressing myself just because they make walking even “harder” for me (ironic, BUT I actually find it works a little better with heels than with regular shoes!! lol)
I think it’s crazy how some people advocate against discrimination and for minorities and then still pull shit like this. Don’t you realize that this goes completely against your own morals? With all due respect, what I wear and “how I walk” is none of your business. Thanks"

I payed attention on not mentioning the words "autism" or "ableism" since I don't know if I'm actually autistic or not! Is it okay that I've used "motor impairment"? Would you word it differently? Lmk!

Thank you guys in advance!
