My best argument as to why Hope is the physically strongest vampire

Okay, this may be entirely wrong but I wanted to give a few examples why I think Hope is the strongest vampire.

This is by directly comparing her to Ken.

Hope fought Ken, with and without red oak poisoning if I remember the scenes correctly. Before and after Ken was blown up.

Ken was capable of lifting and flying a shipping container which at least should be around 1 ton. Filled with god coffins that individually should way around 500 pounds.

To my knowledge that is the strongest strength feat in the TVDU.

For lesser feats;

Hope also easily dispatched of Aurora the first time they met. Even in the case Aurora let that happen, Aurora later asks if her own body can stand up to Hope’s without her mind in it. Refering to her strength and experience in wielding such physical power compared to Hope’s inexperience.

I'd also note that Hope should be powerful enough that the originals did not come after her after she threatened Rebekah. The originals akd Marcel should be capable of cancelling Hope’s magic since Hope was smart enough to do that against the Triad witch. So I’d argue it’s her physical strength they feared in this instance. Wonky, I know.

Maybe the originals considered other options, but you can't tell me cancelling her magic them snapping her neck would not come up initially. Since, if Marcel is that much stronger that Hope, holding her down with Kol and Rebekah helping should be easy.

Wierdly speaking, Aurora was capable of fighting Hope later and I put that up to the bad power scaling of the TVDU. Still, Elijah can fight Klaus because of greater skill so maybe that’s it. Plus, Hope was not trying to kill Aurora since she didn’t use magic directly on her. Plus, Hope mentions directly trying to reach Aurora.

Also, Hope punter Aurora away while weakened.

Any books with a different take on fate/ destiny / soulmates and the romance?

Heyo!

I'd like to find books with a less roll your eyes thing to the idea of fate/ destiny and soulmates.

Usually speaking, protagonists try to fight against fate or destiny and I'm like ‘assuming this cosmic force is real, what is a pale imitation of a grain of sand within the big ass universe going to do about it?’.

It usually feels like fate is just there so the protagonist can wipe their ass with it, and so I wonder can they live without the sun as well? I get why the trope exists but the way I usually see it handled makes me shake my head.

So I'm in need of a book where fate is actually explored and understood. Especially in relation to the romance. To be clear, I don't want protagonists doing things because a something in a book said so.

As for other conditions, ill just ask the FMC be stronger and to Alphahole MMC.

Thanks!

Stronger Non-Human FMC x Submissive Black MMC

Look, I’m desperate.

I need a book like in the title, I don’t care what race the FMC presents as, white, black, Asian or freaking Martian but I need her to be stronger, to be non-human and for the black MMC to be submissive to her, more like gentledom type shit. Also, it’s okay if he’s not a warrior too but I would like if he was.

The overall scenario I would prefer an apocalypse type thing but I’m flexible.

Any help here is greatly appreciated!

Fantasy romance with something like the force = mate bond/ destiny

Suffice to say the way destiny or fate is usually portrayed is far from satisfying for me. Sure, in the context of trying to prevent a terrible future, I’m down.

When it’s just about blabbing on and on about free will, it’s grating especially since it points to some force that’s apparently cosmic but is trying to help you get a good match. Like, why on Earth would you do that if the universe itself is acting like your wing man?!

Anyhow, I’m not just looking for characters who lie down and take everything but truly consider what it all means. So I want the fate/destiny thing to be like the force [star wars], more so a cosmic guide or whatever. So no true fighting against it to proof some point.

Further I’d love an adventure type story. Especially if the FMC is more powerful than the MMC, also more dominant.

I’d ask for more but I’m probably out of luck as it is 😅. Thanks for all the recs

Tell me about your CC x OC (SI) pairings and their story

Heyo! I wanted to let people who write these self-indulgent fics express themselves here and just gush over their TV crushes!

I’m writing one myself that takes place in the TVDU. Specifically after Legacies and following the romance of Hope Mikaelson and the adopted (half alien god) son of Bonnie Bennett, Kyheroji.

Is it highly self-indulgent? Yes. Could Kyheroji beat the breaks off most in the verse? Yes. Does he possess other attributes that make him busted? Yes. Is he most powerful? Nope.

Otherwise, I never intend to post the fic, it’s more so for myself. Plus I think I did a good job making him a separate entity from myself, to whatever extent that’s possible.

But how about you?

Despite understanding/ empathizing with Matt’s position/decisions later on, why do you still hate/dislike him?

Hey guys, we’ll go with the title and I’ll give my thoughts below.

For me, it is more so ideological, the reason I don't like Matt despite understanding him. Let’s get out of the way that his life was shit and made even more so by coming into contact with supernatural.
Though frankly speaking it don't feel like he'd have amounted to much irregardless but that's not the point.

  1. His sister is dead because of vampires.

  2. His life and that of those who cares for are put in danger by forces he has no chance against.

  3. He must watch innocents be collateral in conflicts that don't involve them.

  4. His wife is dead, though supernatural related is more so his and her fault honestly.

Honestly, his positions later are entirely understandable. However, I am more so for the position Alaric and Dorion take later. They are put in similar positions yet decide to help make the supernatural world better, to see the shades of grey in everything. That's what Bonnie, Elena, Jeremy and Caroline did. Even if they all would try to help innocents.

Like I said, it’s highly understandable why Matt became who he was later, but I guess he just conflicts with my world view. Same reason I despise Easther and am annoyed with Vincent. Yes, the latter I actually enjoy even if annoying.

Now for other reasons, Matt as a character is basically the vanilla you have at home. Not the quality shit, but the no brand stuff in the back of your fridge.

I've seen morally upright charactes like him elsewhere and loved them, like Deku, Superman, Bruce Wayne, and so on. Matt does nothing more for me, as it feels like there is no drive to him. I wish I had a no powers not rich Hero, but lets be honest you need an edge for what they do.

I wish the character the best after the TVDU but crap he could have been done better.

That's about it. Thanks! What about you?

What’s your Legacies Unpopular Opinion?

Whenever I see an unpopular opinion post in the main TVD sub I often role my eyes because many of the opinions expressed there are very popular, at least within that sub.

So I was wondering what counts for an unpopular opinion here! Now, let’s be respectful, even if the opinion boils your blood. I'll put away pitchforks and torches if you do.

Go!

What’s your Post-Legacies headcannon?

I noticed that most fanfictions tend to focus on retelling the story from the fan’s preferred or inspired perspective, yet few ever go beyond the story and I feel that’s far too limiting. Legacies also has this, so I wanted to ask everyone what they think.

  1. What happens to the couples?

  2. How do their lives look after everything? More adventure, peace or both?

  3. Other questions I am not thinking of right now.

For me? I've come up with a fanfiction detailing one of the biggest adventures the crew will ever have, I’m writing it right now and don't really plan to post it. Mainly cause it involves aliens, a self insert MC and a few other decisions the fandom may never agree with. Otherwise, the couples stay mostly the same.

If you want to know about it, I’ll tell ya, but I'm here to hear about your madness. So what you got?

Rich FMC, normal MMC?

For this request id prefer they'd be both black.

Also that she's dominant inside and outside the bedroom. He's also a nerd. Bonus if she's a crime boss or something.

Thanks!!

Rich FMC, normal guy MMC?

Got a recent craving for this flip of the usual dynamic.

Now, I'd rather the guy not he rustic, more like a nerd and especially the guy should be black. The FMC can be any race.

Also, the FMC being dominant both inside and outside the bedroom is preferred. If we can get an FLR in there I'd be over the moon.

Thanks!
