Got a letter that Kinetic fiber is coming to my home - how soon do you think it’ll be?

Got a letter saying that fiber is coming and that “As we upgrade our network, your current service will need to move to fiber. This switch is required to keep your internet service running smoothly.
As an existing Kinetic customer, you'll be able to switch for free with no change to your current plan.”

They already ran Windstream fiber lines a few years ago or so to upgrade a DSLAM to being fiber fed, and deployed FTTH to less than 10 houses on my rural road a mile west of me. So a lot of the infrastructure seems to be in place but no fiber splitters on the pole near the fiber taps at my house yet.

In your experience how long did it take after you got the letter until you could order/upgrade service?

Issue with automatic connection on X50 outdoor Deco

I have an odd issue that I can’t figure out with my mesh network (3 X50 outdoor routers and a main X20 indoor router). One of my Deco X50s is right next to the garage and all are hard wired Ethernet. When I get home it should automatically connect my phone to that X50 but it doesn’t do this anymore. If I go into the house, the X20 will connect with my phone and then it will carry the signal via mesh to the garage X50 when I walk out the door.

I’ve enabled and disabled Fast Roaming. I’ve rebooted the X50 and the X20. Firmware is up to date on both according to the app. I’ve also performed Network Optimization.

What am I missing here?

I’ve read some posts in this subreddit and I will be ordering The 36 Hour Day book, but I just wanted to get this off my chest to people that probably know way more than me on this disease.

About 3 years ago my wife and I noticed that her step sister was more withdrawn, not as talkative and looked a bit depressed. It was also a vibe to us that she was somehow upset with us, but we didn’t understand what we could’ve done to make her feel that way. She is a wonderful woman and always very kind and welcoming, so it was a big shift. We didn’t want to pry and thought maybe she was just going through some stress.

We came to find out recently (from her stepmother) that she was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. Needless to say, my wife and I are shocked and very sad. She’s only 53! Her husband had noticed the changes and took her to several specialists to evaluate her and that was the diagnosis. I can’t even imagine what he and her children are going through right now. I don’t even know how to broach that subject with her when we see her again, or if we should at all. From reading the stages of progression I’m thinking she’s at late stage 2 or early stage 3 - she’s having a little trouble with clearing her throat so that may be a swallowing issue, and she’s become very quiet and non-talkative.

We just want to help and be there in some way possible for her and the family if needed, without being over-bearing or intrusive or something like that. And I’m trying to prepare myself mentally to watch this amazing caring woman have a steady decline and one day not recognize who we are. 😕

My dad had a big branch come down at his workplace and cut it up with a sawzall (old man is still going strong at 76). He dropped it off at my house and we’re not quite sure what it is, though I can tell you it’s not poplar because it’s heavy as hell. Might be oak? Whatever it is I’ll add it to the pile 🪵
