Is there class action for docusign popup ads asking people to signup for subscription when they are only there to sign document they received?

My mom received docusign from another company to sign but docusign is showing her popup ads asking her to sign up for subscription. I would not be surprised if some seniors fell for this and accidentally signed up for docusign's subscription that they don't need when they visit the site to sign documents that they received from other companies.

My mom said the company that sent her the docusign wants to charge her monthly fees. I didn't know what she was talking about so I ask her to login to docusign, she was immediately shown the popup asking her to sign up for subscription by docusign. That's when I realized why she said the company that sent her the docusign wants to scam her for subscription. It was actually docusign that wants to scam her, not the company that sent her the docusign.

Since Amazon got sued for prime subscription then docusign should also get sued for trying to scam seniors with their popup ads when people are only there to sign documents, not send documents:

Amazon reached a historic $2.5 billion settlement with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) over allegations that it tricked millions of customers into unwanted Prime subscriptions and made cancellations difficult. The deal includes $1.5 billion in customer refunds (up to $51 per person) and a $1 billion civil penalty

ETrade by Morgan Stanley - not a safe place to store your asset, they transferred customer asset to the wrong customer then lie, break promises, harass and threaten victims involved

If etrade deletes this post, it's available on the Fidelity's reddit

Etrade transferred customer asset to the wrong customer with different name, date of birth, ssn, home address, phone number, email, etc. This is not something that happened 10 years ago, it happened in June 2026 from their beneficiary department that failed to check customer name, date of birth, ssn, home address, phone number, email, you name it.

My family had acat transfer from etrade to fidelity for inherited asset and the etrade beneficiary department transferred asset from a completely different customer into our account and mixed with our own asset and it ended up at fidelity through the acat. Etrade did not realize the negligence until more than a week later and called us to notify the error. We made it clear since the initial contact that we want to return the asset to the rightful owner but we need an apology letter stating the errors made on their part so that we don't get harassed by the rightful owner or etrade or anyone after the asset is returned. Tier 1 Etrade rep was apologetic since this is 100% their fault and agreed to provide letter stating the error. Because etrade notified us very late, about 2% of the asset was sold in the open market that triggered tax event. The rep said, they are not concerned about the tiny shares. Seems like a pretty straight forward case with reasonable request of an apology letter.

Few days later, Tier 2 rep the team lead from etrade beneficiary called and also agreed to provide apology letter stating their errors but later sent an email to inform us that we don't need to take any action and they are not providing any apology because they will reach out to fidelity directly to resolve the issue in attempt to sweep their negligence under the rug. They suggest to have Fidelity "bust"/undo the trades to erase the tax events so no party will take any loss for etrade's error. Fidelity rep said he has never seen this happen in his entire career at fidelity (major screw up from etrade beneficiary failed security check on every level, name, dob, ssn, phone, etc...) and he needs to reach out to multiple depts and backoffice within Fidelity to "bust"/undo the 2% asset trades.

Few days later, Tier 3 rep the dept head of etrade beneficiary called me twice and left me two voicemails about 2hrs apart while I was at work and couldn't pickup the call. The first voicemail is a call back request but the 2nd voicemail is a threat of lawyer and collection simply because he couldn't reach me or the fidelity rep on the very same day he called us. He has no sense of time zone (I'm on pacific time) and doesn't understand that people have real jobs besides making harassment calls to victims and he expect the whole world to work on his schedule. When I got off work to call back, their department is already closed. I spoke to the fidelity rep and he said he was in a meeting and when he call back after the meeting was over, they are closed. Such entitlement from the dept head of etrade beneficiary. Already screwed up, instead of being grateful that other people are fixing your mess, you go and harass and make threats to the victims.

I filed harassment complaint to CFPB, FINRA and SEC because fidelity is already working on fixing their screw ups but now they are harassing us and making threats when they told us to do nothing and let them handle it directly with Fidelity. It took them over a week to notify us. It's only been a week since the initial contact and only been a few days since they reached out to Fidelity to process the bust/undo the trades on 2% of the asset before the etrade beneficiary dept head made the harassment calls and making threats when they told us via email we don't need to take action and they will work with Fidelity directly.

Imagine someone run you over with their car then instantly demand you to fix their dent or else. This is the kind of ingrate dept head working at etrade beneficiary.

I'm glad my family are with fidelity and our asset did not transfer to the wrong customer because etrade beneficiary doesn't check name, date of birth, ssn, phone number, email, etc when handling people's asset. Their dept head is extremely ungrateful to all parties involved in fixing their mess. He's so shameless to expect fidelity to work on his schedule and must respond to his call right away on same day or else. He's treating other firms and victims as if they are his employees.

This is probably not their first screw up and it won't be their last. With such unapologetic and toxic dept head, dishonest and breaking promises then harass and threaten the victims. Fidelity said they are currently working to resolve this mess caused by etrade beneficiary and told my family not to worry but Etrade beneficiary dept head claims his action was justified and refused to let me speak to his superior so I blocked him on my phone.

Etrade failed to keep their promise of providing apology letter stating their errors of failed to check customer name, dob, ssn, phone number, email etc. and attempt to sweep their negligence under the rug and harass the victims with threats. My family and friends would never trust such dishonest firm with our asset. If you value your asset, go with firms that are trustworthy with better security checks. Fidelity is the only firm that I know with $0 outbound acat transfer fee because they provide great service and security and are not concerned about customer leaving them. Etrade charge $75 and Schwab charge $50. I wonder why...

You may wonder why this incident is posted at Fidelity's reddit and not at etrade's reddit but if you keep reading, you will understand that etrade's reddit would instantly delete this before you can see it.

eBay is illegally charging CBE tax to CA residents for items that don't have battery due to system bugs

This issue has been reported to eBay on May 17 2026 but I don't know how long it would take them to fix the system bug.

Issue: bought a wired keyboard with no internal battery inside and was charged a 1.5% CBE tax on it and Google AI said this is because eBay is setting the whole keyboard category as CBE tax eligible basically the dev team is being lazy.

For now, check your purchase detail to see if you have this CBE tax charged on your purchases that don't have internal battery and contact eBay 800-456-3229 and ask for a refund. Make sure to tell AI that you want to talk to an agent about illegal fees. Do not specify the purchase item or AI will hang up and not transfer your call to the agent. (Shame on you eBay)
