I have a friend who is urgently looking for resources as a DV victim and is trying to stay away from a dangerous situation. I don’t know where to start. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

So basically I misread a paper’s prompt and submitted the wrong thing.
As soon as the professor notified me, I fired off an email apologizing and admitting my mistake.
This mistake brought my grade down an entire 13 points for the class. Yeah I passed but I know I can do better.
I’m hoping she gives me an extension to resubmit the paper. How cooked am I? Should I just cut my losses at this point and accept the lower grade, or do you think me being on time for every project and showing up to every class might help advocate for me?
My anxiety is out the roof over this
