FINALLY

Took two hours, the only chance I think is to play road rage on Westbound Waterfront and get lucky enough to hit the first tram that crosses the road or depending on the timing, the one on the straight, all only in the first lap, bc I then by the second lap timings are not consistent enough.

Restored this SCPH-30004 V4 (my first PS2)

Found this SCPH-30004 V4 model for 15€, very very dirty, tore it down and cleaned it up entirely, broke the infamous fan connector and soldered it back on lol, and now I can enjoy great games! I might even get a launch V3 model soon which will get the same treatment, except I hope for the fan connector issue. I actually think this connector was made to annoy and make the tinkers give up on their teardown.

The tenth photo with the sink shows how dirty the soapy water was after cleaning the plastics haha, crazy really

PS1 has no audio or video output

Hi, this is a SCPH-9002 PS1 I got recently, and it has no audio or video output, it very surely had water spilled in it at some point or something but I wanted to know if the little corrosion there is on some of the contacts on the board could be what makes it not output anything ? I did not yet touch the capacitors in any way, too, so if some were to be faulty I wouldn’t know, but none seem bulged… Apart from that I did not find anything faulty, here are some photos, if anyone could help maybe, thank you
