I've been out of therapy for a few months now. I dumped my therapist when I told her I wish autism didn't exist. She got mad at me and told me I'm wrong. She didn't ask further about why I feel this or how autism damaged my life. It was just "Oh you, stop being negative".
She was often dismissive of other issues like this. Anything important I brought up, she never expressed interest in. My friend committed suicide. My exgirl abused me for months. I lost my job to AI. None of that stuff was important according to her and she never brought it up much. She mainly tried to get me to say positive things and wrote off any negative emotions.
I feel like my situation got worse since. I feel like I have a policeman inside of me that speaks in her voice, that monitors my thoughts and always tells me I'm wrong and that life is easy.
Does that make sense?

Why do therapists insist that life is easy and good, and that your negative experiences are lies?
Every time I started opened up about difficulties in my life, my therapists insisted that it's not that hard. They insisted that the problem is how I think. I've been single for more than 10 years, for example, yet my therapists insisted that I have a harem because thinking otherwise is 'negative'.
They never ask questions or express interest. They just immediately get into a battle stance and try to prove me wrong. Why?
I have very little knowledge in computers so I'm asking. Do you think that if the bubble pops, OpenAI and Anthropic crash, local models will be everywhere instead? I want the AI shit to die but I worry that local models are feasible and good enough that they can replace Claude and ChatGPT. Can anyone who understands the technical stuff explain if they can do it?
I've been pondering this for a while because I notice I have a HUGE psychological aversion to even talking to LLM's. Even if you put aside all the ethical and environmental concerns, something about it freaks me out. I tried asking it random shit to see what happens and I noticed I had a hard time reading the responses. Something felt wrong.
And what's even more weird to me is that I think I'm the sort of person who should be hyped over a chatbot that's pretty good at talking. I mean, I emotionally connect to NPC's. I mentally cannot do Undertale's genocide route because the characters feel real to me.

A friend on facebook bragged about how Claude is doing so many things, and this inspires this collection of thought. My final conclusion is that even if AI works, its social price of isolation is not worth paying.
You run a business. Let's think something simple - a bakery. You need to do many things. You need to research recipes, test them, take care of the financial side, advertise your business, clean your store, man the cash register, etc etc.
You HAVE to talk to people in order to run a business. You can't do all of this, even if you have knowledge in all aspects. And since this forces you to socialize, it forces you to mature, to develop social skills, to come in contact with your fellow humans. Even if you're not best friends, you ARE less alone.
Imagine if an Ai did all these. You don't need an accountant because an agent does it for you. You don't need a graphic designer because an AI does it. You don't need to look for people who'll test-drive your recipes because the AI will do it.
In short, the agents are doing everything. You're completely alone. And you never have to interact with people, you never have to converse - and this is bad. We're social animals. Working together is good for us.
So yes, I don't think the social price is worth it.

People always talk about his lyrics and flow obviously, but I think we don't talk enough how good the beats he chooses or makes are. Relapse has some of the best production I ever heard in a Hip Hop. And a good chunk of his discography still has some of the best beats I heard, especially MMLP and Eminem Show. I think he really found a great balance between the Boom Bap formula and the more mainstream sound.
