When do you think today’s y2k revival will fade away?

I think right now is the peak of the y2k revival, in a year or two we will shift to more modern 2000s and even mcbling and scene nostalgia, then the beginning of the 2030s will have both 2010s and 2000s nostalgia being mainstream

What hairstyle would you say is purely 2020s?

A lot of trendy haircuts today came from the 90s and 2000s, like middle parts, flowy and shaggier hairstyles, etc

But what hairstyle would you say is purely 2020s that is totally from this decade

What were shifting terms you witnessed in your life, especially those that went from normal to offensive?

Those who grew up in the past decades, what were some terms that either shifted its meaning or shifted to being unacceptable from being normal and everyday

My school was still using textbooks from 1991 back in 2018

I remember when I was in school, we had history textbooks, yes we weren't fully tech yet but only used chromebooks later in 2018, and I remember how old these textbooks were. I read the back and it was from 1991! I remember looking at the world map and it still had the Soviet Union on it along with Yugoslavia

But what's fascinated me back then was how on earth did they make those computerized maps of ancient civilization terrorities back then

What would you say is the closest "monocultural" modern anime

Because of streaming and algorithms, monoculture has declined rapidly in the past 10 years due to more personalization. A lot of 90s animes like Dragon Ball and Pokemon were monocultural as they were everywhere on the news

But what would you say is the closest monocultural modern anime? I would say it's probably Demon Slayer or JJK now, a lot of non anime fans and middle aged people can recognize Gojo and Tanjiro

How many Baby Boomers do you see being centenarians?

Due to Boomers being the first major large generation, cause pre WW2 generations were small, it's likely we will see a lot more centenarians today than ever in 30 years.

But due to advancing medical technologies and today's elderly are a lot more healthy than previous generations and had a better life growing up, how many Boomers do you see being over 100? I don't think it will be a lot but much more than today

What generation do you think we will have at least multiple 120 year olds

So far there’s only been one confirmed human who lived past 120, she is Jeanne Calment who lived from 1875 to 1997.

But think of it, due to advancing medical technology in the future and today’s younger generations are a lot more healthier and had a better life than today’s elderly generation, it’s likely we will at least have the second human reaching 120 probably within a couple of decades

Scientists say the absolute maximum of a human is 125 years old unless we have some mind uploading in the distant future

The current oldest human is Ethel Caterham who will be 117 in August

When in 1999 would you say was the Latin culture boom?

1999 is probably the biggest explosion for Latin pop culture worldwide. That’s when a bunch of artists from Latin America like Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Rick Martin, etc dominated US music

But when in 1999 did the Latin pop culture explode

what was the last time ww2 vets were an everyday sighting?

It's sad that right now or the late 2020s is the last time the silent generation are an everyday sighting, the first half is already rare due to their age and health

But when was the last time ww2 vets were an everyday sighting? I think I probably saw some in the 2010s when I was a kid but I was too young and they were disappearing rapidly since they were approaching 90

Do you think Alpha will care about 80s nostalgia when they’re the new youth in the 2030s

I don’t think Gen Alpha will largely care about 80s nostalgia, they’ll only know it from stores playing it during their childhood and probably only know Michael Jackson, they’ll be focused on newer eras due to distance by then

When 2010s nostalgia explodes in 2031, what will be the general consensus of millennials by then

Let’s say 2031 is when 2010s and 2016 nostalgia really explodes into pop culture, due to the wave of 2010s inspired aesthetics like hipster, festivals, and swag booming and replacing today’s Y2K revival, and all of youth makes 2010s nostalgia posts, what will be the consensus of millennials by then

Do you imagine “my grandparents had no internet” is gonna be the new “my grandparents walked to school” joke

I can’t wait when Gen Alpha or beta makes new jokes that their grandparents had no internet in school, like how people over 50 make jokes that their grandparents had no cars at all and walked on snow to school
