Breaking news: Opie Teef

We’re on the second brood of bluebird chicks in our birdhouse this year, and mama glares at us every time we step outside.

Emma’s keeping an eye out. Who does she report to? What purpose does her intel serve? The world may never know.

A couple users made me aware (thanks so much for messaging/tagging me!!) of a bot posting a pic of a very overweight Opie from when we first got him with none of the context about him being a rescue(ish) or our focus on getting him healthy and happy.

I promise you all he’s not suffering and we are doing the best we can for him!

If I’m remembering my numbers correctly, he’s down 25 lbs with 5 more to go, which he can take slowly as his activity levels increase now that he’s not in as much pain.
