INFJ Common to Feel Lost in Life?

I’m at the end of my thirties, and I’m not thrilled with how things have turned out. I did office work in my early twenties and got bored, so I switched to teaching overseas. I did that for 8 years abroad and 2 years in the USA (one in person and one online). I burned out teaching as it’s a constant performance and my class in the USA had sooo many issues that I burned out from all the emotional overwhelm.

No one will hire me now outside of teaching besides retail, but that’s tiring too. Both that and teaching you have to be so “on” all the time. I just want to switch back to office work because I had energy for hobbies and volunteer work, etc. Also, I’m living with my parents in a very isolated place where I’ve never felt at home because it’s a poor cultural fit, but I can’t afford to move.

Are others with this type aimless?

Walmart Company for Sale?

The current situation with the hour cuts feels similar to last time I was at a company going through a sale on the down low. Often companies for sale try to cut costs as much as possible so that the company value looks higher and it can be sold for more. Only very high up employees/the owners know when a sale is taking place.

It could just be that they aren’t meeting their expected sales like everyone thinks, but the hour cuts make things worse, not better in the long run. This is why I’m speculating if the company could be for sale. It doesn’t make sense to screw up a company like this unless it’s for temporary profit increases until the sale goes through.

The other possibility is maybe it is dying like retail companies always eventually die, and their way of fighting against it might just make it die faster.

I’ve also heard others say Walmart goes through phases like this, so that could be it, too. I’ve only been here a year, so I haven’t seen all the cycles yet.

Canadian Book Rec Like Dan Brown or Tom Clancy?

My Dad and I are waiting for our Canadian citizenship response. In the meantime, I was wondering if anyone knows a book with similar writing themes to Tom Clancy or Dan Brown that takes place in Canada or has Canadian characters? My dad loves those authors, so I want to get him a book for Father’s Day.

I swear I saw some book before with annotations explaining the evil passages and hypocrisy of the New Testament, but I can’t remember the name. I think it’s white and has two horns and a devil’s tail on the front. does anyone know what the book is called?
