Salty and Sweet Popcorn Icecream 😍

Salty and Sweet Popcorn Icecream 😍

Literally so smooth, it's insane.

Used 60g of Per4m Salty and Sweet Popcorn Whey, 90g of Gut Health Coconut Collab Yogurt, 200ml of Skinny Food Co White Chocolate syrup, 350ml of water, 1 - 2g Xanthum activated with the water in the microwave, 2 teaspoons of sweetener, a couple of good pinches of salt.

I also added 3g of my collagen powder but thats more for health reasons - doesnt make a difference to texture.

Mix / blend well.

341 calories and 54g protein for the whole tub! (47 of that comes from the collagen so this could easily be under 300 and slightly lower in protein)

One of the nicest ones I've made so far!

Boo's Ridiculous Brownies (34 cals, 2.9g Protein per square)

Had a go at Boo's Ridiculous Brownies today!

Honestly not bad for such a low cal dessert. Squirted a bit of zero cal Salted Caramel syrup over what I served up, which was really delicious. I had a quarter of this tin 😆

These brownies are actually pretty light, but a really nice treat.

Go careful on eating too much - sweetener can have a laxative effect 👀

Recipe:

63g Cocoa Powder (calories can vary wildly in cocoa powder so always do your own calculations!)

36g Chocolate Diet Protein Powder

45g AP Flour (can sub oat or almond flour)

100g Erythitol or alternative sweetener

3g Baking Powder

Good pinch of sea salt

300g of carbonated beverage (I used Salted Caramel Pepsi Max)

Prewarmed oven at 190c. Mix dry ingredients together, pour in soda and quickly mix before pouring into a lined 8x8 tin. Put immediately into the oven, do not wait around!

I cooked for 25 mins, took them out, and then let them sit in the pan for 5 minutes before taking out to cool a little more. Cut into 16 pieces.

Healthy anxiety? How do you overcome it?

PLEASE NO DIETARY OR LIFESTYLE ADVICE!! I'm just looking for tips when it comes to the OCD.

So my health anxiety has been really bad recently. My brain will just jump from one thing to another.

I got fixated on sugar intake to the point it scares me to go over by a tiny bit. I have to look at the amounts I'm eating and feel intense fear of having too much.

Then I was worried about sweetener consumption and had to go look up about it, the dangers etc.

Then it was microplastic consumption to the point I almost got rid of my new icecream maker because I had a panic attack in the kitchen after compulsively repeatedly checking the tubs and online about microplastics.

Then it was fear of inhaling a small amount of protein powder that had guar gum in so now I have to hold the sachet at arms length, sometimes hold my breath, pour it at arms length, and walk away until any particles have dispersed. I will also ossasionaly put on the kitchen hood extractor.

Then it was inhaling any deodorant I put on though I try to find the most non-toxic stuff I can. I will now often hold my breath, spray, and walk to the other side of the room.

Recently its been sodium fear. I am now checking salt levels in foods and one of my safe foods (kimchi) I now cannot eat at all because the sodium level scared me too much.

I have been compulsively checking my blood tests (electrolyte levels and kidney function have been deemed to be perfectly normal but my brain is still trying to tell me that my blood sodium level could be better), compulsively looking up about sodium / risks of sodium intake / kidney disease etc.

I'm exhausted. And the only "win" I have is getting so depressed and hopeless sometimes that brain is like "f it, if I die, I die and if I get some sort of awful health condition, I can just quit out".

I am starting Cognitive Analytical Therapy soon and my psychologist knows about my intense safety seeking behaviour etc but I would still like some tips from anyone who feels successful in managing health anxiety and the OCD that goes along with it??

I don't want to live my life this way. My OCD can take something that felt safe before and turn it into a life threatening danger. I want to be able to live my life and enjoy what I can whilst I'm here but the fear of future health issues is overwhelming. Honestly, I fear terminal illness or chronic health issues more than dying.

Need some help!!

Trying to work out my maintance so I can lose at least 1lb per week.

I've lost about 100lbs now and obviously things have slowed down considerably.

Im 35, female, and was 166.5lbs at my last weigh in. Ultimate goal weight is 133lbs.

But I am struggling recently to lose even 1lb a week. I am tracking incredibly carefully (trust me, i know the ropes by now) but my body doesnt seem to want to budge much.

I weigh every day and average things out to reduce scale noise, and somehow only managed to lose 0.3lb this week on 1350 cals a day avg.

For exercise, I am sitting at about 13k steps a day on average. I started going to the gym 2 or 3 times a week at the beginning of April. I generally do pretty long workouts with full body strength and a decent amount of cardio. I'm usually there for 2.5 - 3.5 hours.

What that be considered light or moderate activity on calculators?

For the past few weeks, Ive been averaging between 1350 - 1500 cals a day. I feel like for my size and activity, the weight should have been dropping off me, but it has been a real slog.

Since I've been feeling pretty tired, I am upping my calories closer to 1600 a day for the next few weeks to see what happens, but I am not encouraged by the scales the past few weeks.

Will I ever get pregnant?

Im seeing a no but need someone to check for me?

In traditional, Moon and Mars do not apply, same with modern - Pluto and Mars do not apply. Moon is applying to L2 / L4.

Saturn in the 5th too.

Look like both my partner and I are probably fertile? Moon and Venus in water signs. Just looks like the pregnancy never actually happens though...

Being pregnant and having a child is one of the only things Ive ever truly wanted but Im 35 now, down an ovary due to cancer (all clear now) and in a bad circumstance in life with housing/money. I have run out of hope it'll happen for me before I lose my fertility completely.

No interest really in adopting etc. I very much wanted thr experience of pregnancy.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream v2 😍 (332 cals, 43.5g protein)

Back with another attempt at ice cream in my ninja creami deluxe. This was a full deluxe tub worth of icecream and VERY filling (yes, I ate the whole thing in one go 😂).

Ice crystals this time we're way better and it came out like this after the first spin on "Lite Icecream".

I would have re-spun but its such a hot day that it was already like soft serve and I decided that the small amount of ice around the sides and bottom weren't the end of the world.

Icecream base was only 332 calories.

The topping in the other photos is a chopped up cookies and cream bar from Aldi for an extra 126 cals and very worth it!

Might have added a chopped up chunky kitkat to the bottom half too 😆

Recipe:

2 scoops of Applied Nutrition Diet Protein Powder (202 cals, 40g protein)

200ml of water

1/2 tsp of good quality instant coffee made with 100ml of hot water

1/4 tsp xanthan gum

200ml Skinny Food Co. Chocolate Chip Cookie syrup (5 cals)

100g Coconut Collab Gut Health Yogurt (78 cals, 0.7g protein)

3g collagen powder (47 cals, 2.8g protein)

1 tbsp Sugarly zero cal sweetener

Big pinch of sea salt

Made up the protein shake with water, yogurt, syrup, collagen, sweetener and salt.

Made the coffee with hot water separately and added xanthan gum to activate it but this was probably a slight mistake as it did clump. But after letting cool and adding to my protein shaker, it did resolve and I got out all the lumps after shaking for awhile (a blender would probably do the job better tbh).

Froze for about 20 - 22 hours and then let it sit out for 20 mins before levelling the top.

Spun once on "Lite Icecream" and good to go!

262 calories and over 40g Protein for a whole tub of ice cream!

Went all in and got the Ninja Creami Deluxe.

Need to make some amendments next time I try but used a couple of scoops of chocolate protein powder with water, a load of virtually calorie free Chocolate Chip Cookie coffee syrup, a splash of coffee, xantham gum, a tablespoon of zero calorie sweetener, a lil scoop of coconut yogurt, and an extra bit of cocoa powder. Oh, plus a good pinch of sea salt.

Incredibly delicious. Whilst I think I can make it better, I sat very happily on the couch with it and certainly felt more satisfied than when I make up a double serving protein shake!

Sweet and Spicy Coleslaw (365 cals, 37.5g protein)

200g red cabbage (62 cals, 14.7g carbs, 2.9g protein)

200g wilted spinach (46 cals, 7.3g carbs, 5.7g protein)

135g carrot (55 cals, 12.9g carbs, 1.3g protein)

85g red onion (34 cals, 7.9g carbs, 0.9g protein)

300g Low-fat cottage cheese (168 cals, 9.3g carbs, 26.7g protein)

365 cals, 52.1g carbs, 37.5g protein

920g of food!

I did add some Wingman Elvis Juice Hot Sauce and some zero cal sweetener to the cottage cheese, along with some good quality sea salt. Absolutely delicious. A tablespoon of hot sauce came to another 17 cals or so.

Would have blended the cottage cheese but don't currently have one where I'm at and can't be bothered most of the time.

FULLY recommend using a veg peeler to put the carrot into ribbons. It's so much nicer than grated carrot imo.
