Literature recommendations for Neurocognitive Psychology

Hello, I will begin my master's degree this October abroad. It's taught in English. Could you please give names of the most important books, papers necessary for my studies in Neurocognitive psychology? In addition, literature in computational neuroscience and statistics would be much appreciated.

Are there any people who successfully made reunification of families?

Hello. I will begin my master's degree in October (LMU, Munich). I’m not married yet, but plan on applying to family reunification with a person who will stay in my home country to finish her studies (one year more). the problem we are facing: “ … if the marriage existed at the time of said permit being granted and if the duration of the foreigner's stay in the Federal territory is expected to exceed one year“.

I will apply for a visa in about 2 months. does that mean we should marry before my application? People who actually did this reunification, when did you marry?

Furthermore, master's studies last for 2 years, but residence permit is usually granted for 1 year for master's students (right?). Would that create a problem for proving that my stay is expected to exceed one year?

Any relevant recommendations would be much appreciate!

Indie rock bars/clubs/media

Hello! I'm moving to Munich and I would like to learn more about your indie scene. I love music and currently play in a band. I don't want to lose this part of my life. So I would really like to find a new community which aligns with my interests. Maybe you know some local, underground places where I can meet new people and listen to live performances. In music I mostly enjoy experimental folk and math rock. Maybe you can understand my question better if I tell you which German bands I like: F.S.K. (Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle), Einstürzende Neubauten, Die Goldenen Zitronen

Choosing between MSc programmes in Neurocognitive Psychology in Oldenburg and Munich

Hello! I've been accepted in two places: UOL and LMU. Both programmes are in Neurocog Psy. Both universities seem to be wonderful (although LMU probably has a bigger name). Research project groups are intriguing in both places, but LMU lab focus aligns with my interests on 60%, whereas UOL only on 30%.

I think I'm really hyperfocusing on LMU's prestige and elite status so that I might overlook the possible drawbacks of choosing it: live costs, severe competitions. Oldenburg, meanwhile, suggest a more calm atmosphere while still being very research-oriented (which I like)

My future goals lie in academy and PhD position. Could please someone give me a couple of recommendations: where to think, what to analyse, what to remember?

Research assistant work during Neurocognitive Psychology MSc studies

Hello! People who are experienced in working as a research assistant being NCP students, could you please answer my questions?

- how competitive is it to get the position in the LMU NCP lab?

- how often/many positions are usually open?

- is it possible to apply in the first or second semester?

- (what is the usual salary per hour/month?)

Neurocognitive Psychology at LMU - literature for MSc programme

Hello! I would like to kindly ask for the key literature that NCP students read / work with during their master's studies. Names of the books, papers would be sufficient. I am especially interested in literature on the central subjects such as Neurocognitive Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience, Computational Neuroscience. I would also appreciate some other relevant literature recommendations from current NCP students. The reason I'm asking for this - I want to adjust my perspective to reading in English, and reading literature on subjects I will start studying in just few months.
