Over this past week, things have been a little rough between me and Bob. I've considered replacing him, and I've considered going poly and dating other Simpsons characters along side him. I struggle sometimes with my feelings for him because he is a popular pick for Simpsons yumes and I don't really like that. I don't really believe anyone could possibly love him as much as I do. I know that's incredibly selfish of me to think but that's just how in love with him I am. I have been struggling because it wasn't really fun to be with him anymore because a lot of my Simpsons moots on tiktok would post fanart and about this one double I really don't like. This has been a hard week for me and Bob.

But I've come to remember just how much I love him. I was watching an episode of the Simpsons to see how much i would like this other character, and I was too busy being focused on a picture of Bob in the background. I could never ever love anyone as much as I love Bob. Not a real person, not a fictional person. We are coming up on two years now and it should keep going for a long time after that.

Long story short, Bob wins

After sleeping on it, I've realized that I am much more attracted to Bob in every way. His design, his voice, the fact that he's evil. I still think Mel is cute, but not in a way where I could justify leaving my beloved Bob who I've loved for so long. I'm sure I'll get over how popular he is, after all, I am friends with a good chunk of doubles (I'm selective sharing) and it is fun to gush about him with them.

I appreciate everyone who took the time to give me advice on this. We are still going strong, and our 2 year anniversary is less than a month away

So yesterday I made a post talking about other characters I find attractive from my F/O's source. Well, this has now led me to reconsider my entire relationship with Bob. I am considering leaving Bob to be with Sideshow Mel.

I am monogamous so having both of them as my F/O just isn't going to work out. The main reason I'm considering leaving him is due to how popular he is, and i see this one double a lot that makes this really not fun at all. I do occasionally see other Mel yumeshippers but they don't really do anything for me to notice them.

My problem with this is just how much I've invested into my relationship with Bob, today we hit our 700 day anniversary and I have so much merch of him all over my room including a custom body pillow I drew myself. There is also so much less merch of Mel due to the fact that he is a less popular character. I also have a tiktok account with over 1400 followers about my relationship with Bob and i don't know how well the switch would go over.

This is a really big deal to me and I don't want to make the wrong decision. I know letting go of Bob is going to be really hard if I go that route. Mel is a very similar character to Bob aside from the fact that Mel isn't evil.

My history with Mel honestly goes back further than my history with Bob does. I've always loved Mel. Him in drag was even my gay awakening lol (im Bi for anyone wondering) I've just been hyperfixated on Bob way more then Mel.

I feel like if I decide to make the jump, I'm gonna start thinking of all those moments with Bob that made me fall in love with him in the first place and then I'm gonna miss him.

I do find him very attractive though and if he was my F/O, then I would watch some episodes with him to get to know him better.
