Would you change anything about this ring ? For safety reasons or any other reason ? Girlfriends late grandmother’s ring that’s pretty old - want to ensure it’s good to use in its current state
I don’t know anything about rings so sorry if the jargon is incorrect. Mainly asking if this ring could be used as is besides having it fitted. Is the stone safer as is etc etc? We are happy with the banding more or less.

Fully committing to the dark side
I’ve been looking for Nikon body to compliment my Nikon F4. Something I can bring with me to shoot different film stocks, or just something that’s a tad smaller to just walk around with. After debating and discussing the options a lot with u/boneezer , I’ve decided on the FA. The matrix metering system was the deciding factor. Excited to get out this weekend and take some photos !

Doing my third reread right now and the Aiel being white red heads with light eyes has always made me smile a little bit because my few redhead friends burn so damn easily lol. I get having dangerous redheaded warriors is cool tho and it helps identity Rand so - not complaining.
Legitimately curious tho - 3k years in a desert - very fair skinned with eyes that are sensitive to light. What genetic mutations would have occurred ? 3 thousand years isn’t a ton of time evolution wise - but would changes be noticeable ? Would the no longer have pale skin but be tanned ? Or maybe eye color change ?
