Have had to emergency brake a few times due to deer. Including during the winter.

Just drive according to conditions, with a few brain cells functioning, and you're fine.

Radiator blew a leak, and they kept driving till the engine shutoff.

Dipstick started to melt / char it got so hot, valve cover warped.

Threw in a cheap rad and valve cover for the hell of it. Had good compression and sounded fine.

Cars driven 100k since with no faults. Owned by a family member

Honda r18 engines, as long as you didn't get the early ones with block porosity, are pretty bulletproof. I've seen a couple over 700k
