How should I lane with Lulu? (As an adc)

I'm a jinx main, and I often struggle when meaning with Lulu. Are there any particular power spikes/ trading patterns I should look out for when laning with her, and are there any annoying behaviours that you see from jinxes that get in the way of her using her kit to her best?

Reasons for switching builds as adc

Ello

I main jinx, and most games I go either:

YunTal -} IE -} LDR -} Hexoptics

OR

Hexoptics -} runaan -} IE/LDR -} LDR/IE

This is usually decided by if I have enough gold for BF on my first back.

I wanted to know what would be the main differences in these builds, and examples of comps I'm versing where I should build one over the other.

My thinking is that the YunTal build is higher damage much quicker, and the AS on YunTal means I don't have to build a zeal item. But sometimes when versing melee heavy comps I will build YunTal instead of Hexoptics 4th. Is this a waste for this build?

(FP4) battery running out in 5 hours since full charge. Had my phone two years.

Is anyone else having really bad battery issues with their fairphone? I'm using a compatible charger, and even have periods where I keep it off, but it still runs out of battery in less than 5 hours. I also try and keep my running apps down to a minimum, as well as tabs in browser. Nonetheless I will usually go down to 80% within the first twenty minutes/half hour after unplugging it, and sometimes will go down the last 15% in under a minute, or sometimes it'll last over an hour just on 1%. Do I just need to buy a new battery?

Random accounts with no games played adding me as a friend then glazing?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone else is getting this: some random player adds me after a game, with no games registered to their name and starts saying stuff like "wow dude are you a smurf?" or "You definitely carried that last game". I feel like its AI, but what's the end goal for these people?

Tactics against double mage with swain APC?

Howdy y'all,

I've been really struggling with this. I know dodging his bind/pull and punishing CDs is the go to, but once he gets his ult is there any point trying to fight when he has it off cd? Unless you're playing a high range AA ADC, it feels like his ult is just the "win fight" button. Any tips on how to handle this matchup pre level 6 and after level 6 would be appreciated !

Also another q: are hook supports bad against him? As I've had supports who hook him, then he lands his hook/or ults and it seems to actually help him win fights.

Climbing in bronze

Hi all,

I've been playing league properly for about a year now, and have been in bronze for most of this, only recently getting into silver consistently. I see a lot of low elo players like me getting frustrated with the game and asking for advice, but a lot of the time these come from higher ranked players who don't understand what's it's like to play when you're not very good at the game, so I wanted to make a post with some advice from someone who's also going through it and has seen some success.

Observations

  1. "It's always your fault" isn't always helpful: I see a lot of players say this when a bronze player feels like they're not making any progress, despite feeling like they're getting better at the game. I think this can be really frustrating advice, as people will often say things like "plat players will win 80% of matches against bronze, so you're obviously doing things wrong". A bronze player shouldn't be expected to play at a plat-level to progress to silver, and ignoring marginal gains in their ability is quite demoralising when they feel like they've made a good bit of progress. This leads into my next point:

  2. Matchmaking is chaotic: there is huge skill disparity in bronze. It's a mixture of brand new accounts, people with entrenched bad notions about how to play the game, smurfs, people whose mental causes them to lose matches they could win, and everything in between. I know people will say "but that's every elo!!" But that is not true. The skill gap between a smurf and someone who belongs in iron/bronze is much bigger than at higher elos, so their unfair impact on the game can lead to much more "coinflips". Players also tend to just throw themselves at eachother, meaning that if someone is fed early they will snowball as players lack the knowledge that maybe fighting them isn't a good idea.

  3. Even if you play well, you lack the knowledge to carry games, especially as adc: again, this feeds into the "it's your fault" point, but players can feel they are getting mechanically better, but their "metagame" holds them back as this is something that usually develops over time. This can be frustrating as mechanical improvements tend to be what happens first, and when this doesn't lead to wins it can be really alienating.

Advice:

1. Limit test in normals, play safe in ranked: I see a lot of people say that you shouldn't "play safe" as adc, but I think that giving the enemy team kills is way more detrimental in low elo than missing out on kills. As I said earlier, teams will throw themselves at eachother, so if you limit test and give the enemy Draven a tonne of gold, it's very likely your team will continue to feed him. In games where your team is losing hard and you're getting stomped, focus on not dying and playing as safely as possible. Learn good spacing and be a "KDA player" it will help give you a feeling of achievement even if the game is unwinnable.

2. Try and look after your and your teams mental, but also develop thick skin: your teammates will crash out and troll the entire game if they're antagonised, I know people say don't use the chat or mute everyone, but I have found that encouraging my teammates and not flaming has really made a huge difference in some matches. A huge part of playing adc is managing the relationship with your support especially, so even if they're playing badly don't flame, they will tank a winning game if you do.

3. Your early game farm is important, work hard to improve it: In many of my matches, every other teammate (including support and jungle) will take your farm in mid/late-game in whatever place you're in and think nothing of it. Mid will not swap, or if they do will rotate back to mid to take farm there even if you're already auto attacking the wave. If you haven't already secured a good amount of gold and experience in early game, you will usually find it hard to make up for this in mid- late-, doubly so if youve lost fights/died as they won't think you're worth the gold. You can try asking the jungle if you can take their camps, but they usually won't be happy about it.

4. Assess early your supports skill level: as mentioned earlier, there is huge skill disparity. I can play with a lux that lands all her abilities, and peels for me perfectly in teamfights, then play with a soraka who never heals. Look on op.gg on your phone during loading screens, if they have. 20 percent win rate and frequent <1 KDA, play with them accordingly. Knowing if you can trust your support will define your early game.

5. For the most part, your team will not play around you, so you have to follow and play around them: Think of yourself as "damage support". You are there to supplement your other teammates damage in teamfights, and your teammates will do what they want to do, regardless of where you are. In the mid to late game stick with them, but also don't be afraid to avoid fights if you think they're a bad idea (though you should limit test in normals to work on this game sense).

Long ass post sorry lol.

Yuntal with no zeal item?

Hi everyone

Ive recently tried really focusing on getting BF sword on my first back so I can start building yuntal, and I'm finding it really strong (Jinx main). I was wondering if when you get yuntal, do you ever skip the zeal item and just go full damage? As I feel like this makes me a lot more useful in the late game. Even with a hyper mobile team being able to dish out more damage feels worth it in exchange for some movement speed? As so many melees have movement speed buffs trying to outrun them with no peel never feels like it ends well. Or am I getting it all wrong?

Mage bot is really taking the attention off the main ADC issue at the moment

We still only have one space Groove adc skin for a highly situational ADC (samira). Here are some ideas for more space Groove adc skins:

Space Groove jinx: instead of shooting a big rocket she shoots like a lava lamp or somethin idk.

Anyway that's enough ideas. Let's campaign for more space Groove skins NOW.

Are there any elo-deflated OTPs?

Just wondering if there were any champ otps you come across that usually play very well and know their champion kit perfectly, but are at an elo much lower than you think they should be. Sometimes I come across Nidalees that seem to play the champ for the love of the game, and have really good understanding of her ult and how to land very long range spears, so I think she's the pick for me

What is "default ashe" lane behaviour?

I know every matchup is different with ashe, but is the general approach to playing her: farm from a distance, chipping with w when they misstep, and all-ining when they overreach with low health?

Sometimes my supp asks me to engage with r, but with no cc on them her r is quite easy to dodge as it's so slow moving. Adding to that that it's most useful when shot from a distance, it feels like it's best used as follow up rather than engage (in lane anyway).

If Im dead wrong here please let me know.

Get TS OUTTA my portrait NOW

At first it was an ego boost... Ooh the game thinks I'm better than my rank :) hehe....

I finally got to my desired rank: Silver!... BUT WHY IS IT STILL THERE???

EVERY match my teammates HATE ME. They're dodging and diving skillshots, kiting perfectly WHILE I'M GETTING

SLICED

DICED

CHOPPED UP LIKE A FUCKIN MICE

and then I still get +30LP on wins -10LP on losses????

STOP putting me against golds PLEASE. Let me in chill in Silver for a bit.
