Unsure how to approach Neighbors pool fence.

Last summer our neighbors put in a very lovely in-ground pool and shortly after had a privacy fence put up. They have triplets (9) who cannot be expected to close the gate as they go in and out (the dad doesn’t even do that). Of course our homes are rather close together, but even more than that, we share a connected driveway. Our backdoor opens directly facing their pool gate, which is continually left open.

How do I approach the gate being left open in a neighborly way? They’ve been there for some big moments for us already, but having such a shared space gives me much anxiety about addressing any type of “issue” with them/our shared space.

First time homeowners, going on six years of living here now, just looking for some advice. TIA!

Edit: If additional context is needed, I have an almost 2YO and almost 4YO who don’t know how to listen the best yet

Is it a slug? Some sort of beetle?

Found this lil guy by our inflatable pool. I thought it was a seed pod at first glance, but when I tried to flip it over, it was a little stuck to the tarp so now I’m wondering if it is a slug or what other bug it could be.

First ever sourdough loaf!

Have no idea what I’m doing. A friend at church gave me some of her starter and I watched an Amy Bakes Bread video before starting. Are those big holes normal/desirable?

What’s on our Calamansi?

We’ve seen scale in a couple of places and have been tending to that, otherwise this white stuff is annoying. The plant was indoor over winter (at my MIL’s) and has been outdoor since it got warmer this Spring. It’s been seemingly doing so well!

Grandpa’s Celebration of Life

Some of my designs for my Grandpa’s Celebration of Life. I wanted to surprise my dad by trying to do my grandpa’s old business cards, and really hoped to have a signature of his for all the family but not all of them were legible with my projector.

He was a boating and lake guy. My grandma passed in Covid so the two chairs on the lake signify them being reunited again.

Sorry if not allowed but I wondered if anyone else has noticed that their local Hobby lobby has had changes to the Sunnyside bakery being 50% off and the cookie boxes specifically changed from a quantity of 2 to 3. I want to say that the price changed from $2.99 to $3.99 a package. Where is everyone buying these items?
I really try not to shop on Amazon or online and keep my purchases to in store if possible but being a stay at home mom/cooker as a side hustle, it makes it difficult to get access to everything I need without buying mass quantities.

I was particularly annoyed because the signage says *always* 40% off when it wasn’t always 40% off. It *was* 50% off. Rather annoying considering they made a cool $746m in 2025.

Fav design of my latest set included for attention.
